The main light of the room does not have its own switch, so you need to pull the key holder out of the socket to turn off this light. It is then not possible to switch on only the bathroom light in the middle of the night, without first inserting the key holder into the socket (and by doing so also switching on the main room light).
The bathroom needs new tiles in the shower and a new basin. (Cracked). (Room #104)

This was one of the cleanest motels I have ever stayed at. The new owners are proud of that they are doing, and it shows. The friendliness of the staff was outstanding, and the location is excellent - an easy walk to the centre of town. Also, the complimentary Wi-Fi is very fast (unlike a lot of other properties).
This will be our accommodation of choice whenever we come to Forster in future.
The servo next door is noisy and brights but as it closes down at 2130 every night it is not a problem.
Probably the worst aspect of the room is the curtains are useless in blocking out light. Proper block out curtains and rail would be good as when the servo opens in the morning the bright lights just shine through...

The room was very clean, tidy and comfortable. The Manger Ella, I think her name was delightful! Super helpful of places to eat and visit. Very welcoming. Motel in a great location close to everything and great price.
It was just a bit noisy in that you could here the toilets flushing next door but that can be a common theme in a lot of motels.

The new owners are putting a whole lot of effort, and money, into bringing this older motel back to life. It has good bones, good location. Just needed a bit of love.

The location is immediately next to a petrol station and also a major construction site out the back. It’s noisy! Lights on for most of the night. A fuel tanker arrived to refuel at the petrol station at 2.15am!
There was also no hot water!

Forstay Motel is in a great location, within an easy walk of restaurants, shops and the waterfront. The staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. The room was comfortable, clean and well provisioned. We would definitely stay there again.

A minor issue which wasnt really a bad one. The room was cleaned so well the smell of cleaning products was quite strong.

The staff members were very friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The bed was also comfortable and provided a sound sleep.
The motel was quiet and we were not disturbed by any traffic noise
The position of the motel was great. Walking distance to all the attractions we wanted.
The hot water pressure was weak and slow in coming through.
However, it was sufficient to provide good water flow and temperature in the shower.

Room had everything we needed - microwave, dishes and cutlery, which means you can buy microwave meals if you don’t choose to go out for dinner. Close to beach and walking distance to cafes.

Very central to the main area of Forster within walking distance to restaurants and pub. The lady in reception was pleasant and nice to deal with on arrival.
The shower had very little pressure and you had to keep moving to get wet. Check out was 10am but housekeeping were knocking on the door just after 9am. If someone books just gor a Saturday night then it is likely they will not check out until the last moment
