What did we like? Everything! This accommodation provides everything you can possibly think of. Roberta is the nicest person you can imagine. She picked us up when we missed the last bus, she took us to the bus stop in Onno on the day of our departure, she provided us with simple sweet breakfasts and some drinks in the apartment that had not been mentioned in the price.
We did some nice hiking trips for which this is a perfect starting point. Also, a boat trip from Onno is a fun experience. I hope I will be back some day, it was an absolute delight to stay here ♥️

As many reviewers have remarked (influencing our decision to rent here), the host, Roberta, is wonderful: accommodating, helpful, friendly. The lodgings were great. We had more than enough space, and the layout is interesting. Valbrona is a quiet village, 5km from the nearest beach in Onno. We had a rental car, and because roads around Lake Como can be narrow and a bit scary at times, we tended to drive to Onno and use either a ferry or bus to get around, to just about anywhere on the lakeside. I suppose it's possible to get a bus from Valbrona to Onno, but because we didn't have to do that we didn't investigate. Valbrona does have one or two eateries in walking distance. The take-out pizza place is just okay, but the Albergo Spa is a good place to eat. Of course, La Corte del Pane has a kitchen, so you can cook for yourself. Oh, and groceries: there's a small market in walking distance for basics. A genuine supermarket is easy to get to in nearby Canzo (and that drive is not as stressful as is, say, the drive to Bellagio).
Can't think of much. Wifi goes off between midnight and 6 a.m., but that wasn't a bit deal.

the location is about 15-20 minutes driving from the lake. the parking is 5 minutes walking fron the appartment, and not guaranteed

What an unbelievable place and location, the host left everything we needed for our stay such as coffee, tea, milk, breakfast things etc. everything was catered for. The apartment itself was a brilliant size and really clean

the history of this property is amazing. It has the most incredible views of the mountains and is so unique. It has everything you need and Roberta is an incredible host.
If you don’t have a car, it is very hard to get around. However, it is possible if you’re up for a big hike.

-Excellent Location!! Thoroughly enjoyed not staying in a crowed town like Bellagio or Varenna and being just an 8min drive to the nearest beach (Como doesn’t have tons of beach/access points, so being near a beach was excellent is underrated)
-Excellent value! Fully equipped kitchen, living space, bath and balcony. Living room window has mountain views and in the morning the birds sing!
-Host, Roberta, was super attentive! Even gave us a welcome basket with treats, water and more!
-Good bed, everything worked as it should such as hot water, stove, shower etc
-Parking was free and only 50m away, this makes for a worry free return after a long day.

I liked very warm welcome, that Roberta think about basic thing like tea, sugar, oil, orange juice and water in the fridge. The baby chair and bed was arranged which we are very gratefull for. Appartament was huge and still perfectly clean. All of the facilities are available as hair dryer, towels and even washing machine.

everything-the atmosphere, fully equipped kitchen, cozy beds, lots of space, and of course unbelievable soul -the host of the house Roberta.if you are with kids -there is a garden with opportunity to play football/basketball, you will find everything you need❤️I certainly will come back here again

Everthing was perfect. Roberta is such a nice and friendly host.
Kitchen is equipment with spices, dish soap, sponge, dish towels and all the things needed for cooking.
Good and save basement for leaving bikes.

Amazing location, little bit hard to reach. But easy driveway by car (definitely recommended!) The host is like an angel. You get responses within minutes (how?) She tries to help you out with whatever you ask. House is comfortable and has everything you need. Just move in and relax. Thank you Roberta!

Very nice landlord Roberta. It is very old house, beautifully renovated. Very nice and quiet place. A few little things in the fridge at the beginning were a very good and very nice surprise. In a apartment there is everything you need. Grocery is very close to apartment.

very kind host, great communication, warm welcome, seamless check-in/check-out, modern apartment with fully equipped kitchen, wash-machine, in the renovated old house, free parking options not far from the house, good location for trips by car (e.g. Bellagio and other villages by boat on the Coma Lake) or hiking trails (e.g. Corni di Canzo).
it would be great to have available some spare quilts in case of cold weather.

It's an amazing place, if you have a car. Old almost historical house with all the modern amenities. Very clean, has full kitchen. Roberta is a great host, very gentle and attentive. She provided us with welcome drinks and breakfast stuff. Parking is nearby. Totally recommended.
