Nice place to stay. Very short walking distance to everything and with a bike it’s very easy to get around. The drawback was the lack of parking. It added an additional $100,- fee for 3 nights

Lovely cottage retreat! Very spacious and comfortable. Very well equipped kitchen . I used the kitchen a lot. Nice dining table. Comfy medium - firm bed . Big bathroom with large shower . Great location right next to Duval. Air conditioning provided nice white noise for sleep even though street noise was almost nonexistent. Nice high ceilings. Excellent host Whitney responded to my few texts immeadiatly and made me feel welcome. I plan on coming back to this comfy retreat .

Great location, we were able to walk everywhere! Found street parking two houses down, so parked and left car there all week. Cute little place and size was fine for us (couple + dog), but can’t imagine any other people in there. If sleeper sofa is pulled out, not sure anyone could fit between end of bed and wall to get to the bathroom unless you move furniture around. Description says 2 small closets in bedroom, but there is really only one that is usable — the other is locked. Plenty of drawers, however, in dresser! Kitchen was well-stocked, but don’t expect to find anything “extra” such as sugar, spices, condiments, etc. as I’ve seen at other places. They did have dish soap and extra trash bags, paper towels, and toilet paper. Bed was comfy! Walls are thin — you hear everything outside if you are a light sleeper. And if you have AC fan on “auto”, it is extremely loud each time it kicks on, so highly recommend setting it to the “on” mode, so it’s not as bad. AC did have trouble keeping up during the day, but was fine at night. Management was great! Bathroom light fixture went out, and maintenance was there in a flash to replace it! If you like Mexican breakfasts (breakfast tacos, huevos rancheros...), I highly recommend Key West Cuban Coffee cafe — only a couple blocks away — the best! Would definitely stay there again, but bring my earplugs along! :)

The location of this property was absolutely amazing - its worth staying here for that alone. Right in the middle of Old Town, our farthest walk to anything we had planned was 25 min and shortest being mere minutes. As other reviews have stated it is not the most up to date place, but that is not something I am concerned about when basically only using a place to sleep and spend the rest of my time in the beautiful weather exploring. I do wish the bathroom would have had a fan as it did get pretty humid in that room when showering.
Another thing that is not necessarily a con, just something you should be aware of if you are looking to stay here is that because of the location it is not quiet or sound proof in any way. The layout has the bedroom right up next to the street and there are neighbors close on either side that you can hear very easily. Without intervention you can hear people walking by, conversations, scooters, trucks, cars, roosters (lol). We always bring a fairly loud white noise machine on vacation and kept the AC fan on at night so we were able to drown out the majority of the excess noise and had no problems, but if you didn't have either of those and are a light sleeper you will have a bad time.
Would definitely stay here again - awesome location, great place to stay when exploring Key West. Check in and check out were extremely smooth and communication with host was great.

The house was a block of of Duval street which was convieneint for dinning out. The place was as advertised and nice. Do not rent a car here golf carts are the best means for getting around or bicycles.

We loved our stay at this sweet little home. We rented a golf-cart for this visit, but we really didn't need it as everything we wanted to do was within walking distance. We had a lovely holiday, and would stay at this home again. :)

My husband and I booked this trip to celebrate my 60th birthday. The property, and the management company were very good. However the concierge service was sub-par. Whenever I used the online service to make requests, our needs were never met. The most upsetting was a reservation for dinner on my birthday which was requested via telephone never came to fruition. My husband called three weeks ahead of time to request help with the reservation. He was assured that it would be taken care of, but that promise was broken. For those who plan a stay at this property - do not rely on this service.

This cottage was centrally located for walking the island. It was artfully decorated with comfortable furniture, including the bed. Very clean and comfortable. Whitney, one of the property managers, was exceptional. She was friendly and responsive to our needs. The cottage itself was perfect.The negatives were primarily due to the street noise from the police and fire engines that use Simonton St as their primary route. The cottage had ample supplies (pots, pans, and utensils) for cooking but lacked the pantry supplies we were accustom to having in an airbnb, such as olive oil, sugar, coffee, spices, etc. Also, be aware that there is an additional VRBO booking fee of $388 that we were not expecting.

House was as described. Comfortable beds and had all the amenities that we needed for cocktail hour and dinner. The unit was close to Duval which we really enjoyed. The customer service was top notch from the property manager, and we really appreciated that. The only complaint we had is that the walls are very thin and you if noise bothers you, it might be tough to sleep without ear plugs. We also noticed that there was a nail sticking out of the floor in front of the bathroom, it was a hazard during our stay, and we hammered it back in ourselves. In addition, we were given a small amount of shampoo for the stay, it would have been nice if the bathroom was proprely stocked for the stay.

The Tides was small but it is Key West. Had everything we needed except parking but we made do. Place was spotless and well stocked for our 2 night stay. Whitney was great in helping us with an early check in. Location 2 short blocks off of Duval. Nice neighborhood.

The property is in the perfect location to walk to all the sites. It contained everything we needed for a great stay in the keys. The only downside is parking which was an added expense.

Great little place to stay close to Duvall St. We were able to walk just about everywhere. We never even moved our vehicle. House was clean and commutation with the management company was great. I would totally recommend for a couple or very small family due to the size. When putting out the pull out sofa it leaves very little room to get to the restroom. Overall, great location and experience.

We loved everything about Tides on Simonton! The location was perfect! We parked our car when we arrived and rode our bikes or walked everywhere for our entire visit. The home was very well maintained, super clean and well stocked with everything needed. The property manager reached out to me prior to our visit, during and after to make sure everything was going smoothly with our stay. Super impressive! We would definitely stay here again!

It was clean and appointed. I didn't like that the bedroom was practically on the road. It took several minutes for the hot water to come up in any facet. And there was no water pressure in the shower so those of us with long hair (3+') not washing the hair. I was dissapointed by sleeping on the road and for the money spent, no. The price was on par with the better hotels and this is a shrug.

This was a clean place to stay. While this sleeps four, I would suggest this is a great place for a couple. This is a home that is divided up and does have a shared W & D in an outside lean to available for use. HVAC is in the closet and kind of noisy and the pillows were flat but there were extra pillows so all good! Essentially, you are staying in a tiny space, maybe 580 sq. ft or so. When you walk in, you walk into the bedroom which is a perfect size, but if you want solitude, be aware the bedroom is close to the street. We didn't mind because the place is updated and we wanted to stay in a historic area close to everything but not quite on Duvall. Also, we aren't in Key West to sit in a VRBO! We are on the go, go! We rolled our suitcases from the Key West Express, stopping at B. O.'s Fish wagon first so from the terminal it is totally walkable. We have stayed several different places in Key West and this was a fun place to stay and convenient. I would only suggest refreshing pillows and get rid of the air curling brush, eek! Staff was professional and kept in touch via app and text which is appreciated.

Good location and that is where it ends. Very dark in the rental, the windows are frosted and there is very little natural light. The windows are old and do not keep the noise out so it is extremely loud inside.The bedroom is located right as you walk in the front door. On the second day we were the cleaning people proceeded to enter the front door with the key, my husband literally had to keep them from coming in. No one knocked. They said they were there to clean the room since we were checking out and we had to tell them that we had just checked in.We notified the office and no one apologize or seemed to care. Would not stay here again.

Let me start by saying that the place was cute, clean and livable. Nothing fancy or newer though. Extremely loud AC, horrible sound when opening the fridge? Otherwise, plenty of towels, kitchen essentials, toilet paper and paper towels. No complaints really about anything except beds. I noticed a few months ago that another reviewer had the same complaints about the sofa bed. And management said they would look into replacing said sofa bed. Our experience was horrible at the end because of the falling apart, extremely uncomfortable sofa bed that should have been replaced apparently a LONG time ago. Honestly, it's ridiculous to pay as much as this rental costs, and have it advertised as suitable for families or two couples. It is terrible for anyone who has to endure that other sleeping space. Made everything else we liked sour in comparison. Please- management- do not make anyone else suffer sleeping in that sofa bed anymore. Ridiculous. Not to mention that if anyone has to use the bathroom while said sofa bed is open, you have approximately 8 inches to squeeze through. Yes neighborhood is a bit noisy, but you are 15 minute walk from most things. Beaches that are 20 minutes walk are not great, very rocky and uncomfortable for bare feet. I mean otherwise we loved our trip. But when you are more than likely to only be sleeping in your rental, and not hanging out all the time, the beds need to be comfortable. We were constantly sore and miserable and fighting over the actual bed instead of the metal bars and sinking, missing springs of the -definitely-not-for -taller-people sofa bed. As is, we would never stay here again.
