Willkommen im Day's Away River House am wunderschönen Guadalupe River in Center Point, Texas. Das Center Point liegt auf halber Strecke zwischen Comfort und Kerrville sowie zwischen Bandera und Fredericksburg, nur 50 Minuten von San Antonio und etwa 30 Minuten von Hunt, Texas, entfernt. Das Wasser ist tief und der Fluss ist bei unserem atemberaubenden Rückzug von einem halben Morgen breit. Sie können grillen, schwimmen, röhren, Kanu fahren, angeln oder einfach am Wasser entspannen. Es gibt ein wundervolles Deck, das sich über die gesamte Rückseite des Hauses erstreckt und überdacht ist. Der perfekte Ort, um den Fluss zu sehen und zu beobachten, wie Ihre Kinder auf dem Trampolin hüpfen, schwimmen oder vom Steg in den Fluss springen. Wir haben auch eine Seilschaukel und eine Rutsche in den Fluss. This is just like the pictures! The river is like a lake here. Very private. The house was cozy. We had our own ducks, canoe, kayaks. The floating dock was great.

We have a true blast! The house is very clean, the beds are comfortable and the property is well maintain. The only thing that was different is in the description it said the property had a trampoline and it didn’t but we had plenty to do without it.

Our stay was relaxing and peaceful. The only thing I would say is that if there are more people than there are beds there is no room in bedrooms for a blowup and barely room for one in the living area but we managed. Loved the kayaks and Canoe and the little ones loved playing on the floating dock!! The owner was very accessible and worked well with us!!

We had an amazing time at Day’s Away House! The rope swing, slide and the floating dock were the highlight for the kids!! The canoe and kayaks were a lot of fun as well! We enjoyed cooking out and feeding the ducks! Thank you for providing firewood! We enjoyed sitting around the fire and making lots of s'mores!! It was the perfect family getaway!!

Our stay at Day’s Away was wonderful. To start with, Becky could not have been a more responsive, helpful or friendly host. The house is perfectly clean. The beds are all comfortable and so importantly in Texas - the air conditioning works great! The outdoor area is perfect. We loved using the canoe and kayaks to enjoy the beautiful river even more. The large flagstone patio with the fire pit was such a great place to gather in the evenings with a large well maintained yard for kids to play in - and super friendly ducks too!

We stayed in mid-March, so a little chilly for water play but we so enjoyed sitting by the firepit right on the water, under the trees. We relaxed and caught up and chatted with the ducks and geese who were very welcoming. The house is beautiful and the host is lovely. Thank you for a great weekend!

We had the best stay once again! This is our 2nd time to stay here. We come to the Texas Elite Gilt Show here to show our FFA projects and this is the best convenient place for us to stay! Better than any hotel you could stay at in this area! The outside area is our kids favorite thing about this beautiful place!

This is a beautiful property on the Guadalupe River. Close to Boerne, Comfort, Kerrville and Bandera. We spent our first day at Gruene Market days - a bit of a drive to the house - but Gruene is worth the visit. The Singing Water Vineyards are a must. Every evening we enjoyed sitting on the porch/balcony enjoying the view.

Didn't like - Mattress pads were dirty. Housekeeping needs to wash ALL bed linens. Not just top sheets.
DIdn't like - Smell - Faint smell of dead animal in wall or under floor. Owner attempted to cover it with plug-in air freshener. LIkely cause, owner uses rat bait poison.

Property was very nice, clean inside, no issues. Said it slept 8 but that was 3 beds and two bunk beds. Probably my mistake, just saw 8 and thought 8 beds.
Property manager was very responsive, whatever you need she will assist in. She called before to tell me there was another cabin that slept 2 she would rent for $80 a night if needed.
River was more of a pond, overgrown lillie pads and color was green. Trash and good amount of snakes floating in it as well. Across the river was a parking lot where groups of people gathered and did doughnuts with their cars each night. If you’re looking for meth, you can get it at the dollar general a few blocks away, plenty of addicts roaming about one asked if we were looking for “trouble” trying to sell dope. Mexican food spot down the road was excellent though.
Wouldn’t take kids, ok place for group of friends if the water cleared and you’re good with being 40 mins from Fredericksburg and 45 from SA.

Day's Away is the perfect getaway from the hustle of everyday life. The pictures represented the house perfectly and Becky was all you could ask for in a host. She communicated everything upfront and ahead of time and made the whole process simple. The kids loved the rope swing and kayaks and fishing off the dock. Great place to spend with family and getaway from screen time. We had a fabulous stay and will definitely be booking again next year. A+++++ all the way

My family has a yearly tradition where we get together to celebrate my dad's birthday. This year he turned 82! We definitely enjoyed our stay. Everyone has a wonderful time. House is just like pictures. We cook a lot and they had almost everything. Just need to bring your spices. If you have little ones bring life jackets. Teen boys enjoyed the kayaks and fishing. Got them away from the screens.

We have stayed here multiple times. Owner is available and very helpful. Water is always deep enough to swim, and they have their own rope swing. The floating dock is very entertaining for all ages. Houses are very comfortable, and the kitchen has everything you need. Great outdoor spaces- I do wish they had a pool ladder to make it easier to get in, but besides that it's perfect!

Of course, the backyard is the star of the show. My kids spent hours fishing, swimming, and bouncing on the trampoline. We also made sure to take the canoe out and watch the wildlife.

Property is just as advertised. It is well kept and the yard and area by the river are beautiful. There are a lot of nice shade trees. Kids enjoyed the rope swing at the river, and used the paddle boards they brought. We did use one of the owners kayaks and their life preservers. It was nice to be able to sit on the upper deck/porch and watch what was going on at the river. We used the firepit and made S'Mores a couple of times. This was our second year to rent this property. It is a great place for the family to relax and have fun, and I am sure we will be going back.
