Only issue we had was the room above us was very noisy through most of the night.

No iron available in the whole hotel, Shower pressure was poor and no hooks in the bathroom for towels, Manager was knocking on doors at 10.45 to get people out for check out at 11

The staff were friendly and very helpful. The room was nicely decorated, comfortable bed and new sheets.

A bit more attention to detail when dusting surfaces e.g. layer of dust on the table where the TV, kettle, tea and coffee making tray sits. Doesn't take long to remove everything off the surface, dust and put it back. Room was cold on arrival. My husband had to go to reception to ask for the heating to be put on, only to be told it comes on at 4pm and goes off at midnight. Disappointed they did not provide irons in the rooms. When I asked at reception was informed they do not have any in the hotel.

It was in a great location close to the student area, the owner greeted us in a very friendly manner and was asking about our stay which made use feel valued. The room was great, clean, good size, the beds were really comfortable too! Oh and not to mention it was excellent value for money. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay.

The Staff and Manager very friendly and helpful. Also not intrusive, the attitude is very relaxed at Ascot Grange. It's a basic set up, but comfortable and clean. Convenient for Leeds, while being a culturally distinct district. Ottley has a weekly, afternoon fancy dress pub crawl, which enhances the surreality of Headingly. Always pleasant to be surrounded by people dressed as chickens, pirates and golfers at three o'clock in the afternoon.

The kettle in my room needs replacing.
