Joan and Simon were extremely friendly, with great knowledge of the local area. The rooms were spotless with modern bathrooms. The breakfast was a real treat. They made you feel very special. The ability to use the pool and spa up the road was a bonus.

Fantastic location for exploring anywhere in the lake district! Joan was very welcoming, knowledgeable of the local area and helpful planning days out! The accommodation was superb, clean, spacious and plenty of little homely touches, breakfast was amazing, lots of choice hot and cold options available, can definitely recommend the full english! Cant wait for our next visit to the lakes and will definitely be staying at may cottage again.

Locations around the lakes Centralised to go to other parts around the lakes. Band B excellent with fantastic hosts. Very welcoming would recommend. Will be staying again

The property was so very close to Lake Windermere and within walking distance of not only the water but shops, cafés and restaurants. The property had absolutely everything we could wish for plus more including lovey little touches in the bedroom ….. packets of tissues, toiletries, hand sanitiser, beautifully soft & plump towels & the most softest and comfortable bed we have ever slept in. Check-in was excellent with our lovely hosts offering a wealth of information not only about the facilities of their beautiful home but also about attractions and places to visit in & around the area. Breakfast was simply incredible with a fabulous choice of hot & cold items to choose from and both if you really were very hungry x the home-made yoghurt was delicious! Parking on-site perfect and we really did not want to leave. We were both made to feel very welcome indeed and cannot wait to return in the very near future to see this stunning area in a different season.

Good location, less than 10 min walk to the town. Excellent hosts helpful and informative. Wide breakfast choices inc lighter options. Fridge available to use in the dining area. Good wifi.

The breakfast was fantastic. The pre-order system worked very well. The portion sizes and quality of the of the breakfast was brilliant. The nicest homemade yoghurt i have ever tasted.

the location was excellent and the hosts were so accommodating and friendly.

The parking was adequate off road parking but even in a small car found it difficult. the spaces were quite tight and it was particularly tricky parking down the slopes driveway in the dark.

The owners were very friendly and give us plenty of tips what to explore. The property was very clean and tidy. The bed very comfy. We slept well, like at home. The property location is perfect, only a couple of minutes to town centre, restaurants and the lake. We climbed Scafell Pike one day and Joan kindly packed breakfast for us, which was lovely. Highly recommend and we would definitely return.
