Absolutely loved our stay at Chalet Hotel Hartmann! The staff were friendly and hospitable. Our stay came with free bus passes valid for the duration of our stay that can bring us to the city centre. It property overlooks lush greenery, has wellness rooms and sauna that you can use, a very generous breakfast spreads. Rooms are also spacious and comfortable. Truly felt at home!

The service by all staff was excellent, special mention to Alex. He always check in with me on what he can be of service. His suggestion on the driving route was great.
The walk from town to hotel is very tough up a hill.

Very nice and clean accommodation. Excellent breakfast. Perfect location to reach different cross-country skiing trails in Val Gardena.

We arrived, about 6:30pm, after reception closed but had no difficulty accessing our room since the hotel had left our key in a lock box. The room ("superior suite with mountain view") was nice but smaller than expected from the pictures on booking.com. Hotel was charming, nice breakfast room and meeting areas.
Staff was friendly and helpful with suggestions on where to ski. Especially nice was the private hotel shuttle that took us to rent skis, waited, then took us to ski lift. Same service at end of day.
The hotel had plenty of free parking. The area was also nice and quiet, a healthy walk to the village. We did find a nice restaurant about 10 minute walk from hotel, Wine Bar Zirm, that had excellent food, we ate there twice. Walk to village restaurants a little further, which was OK for us since the walk was nice and enjoyable, especially after eating.
Maybe some more breakfast choices, eggs cooked to order and bacon. The coffee definitely needs improvement!

There are a small number of rooms so it felt like staying with friends. Extremely friendly and helpful staff.
It was not a problem for us but the property is located about 10-15 minutes walk from the center of Ortisei. The walk back is almost all uphill. There is bus service (not clear how frequently in the evening, we always walked) but something to keep in mind if you don’t like uphill walking.

The views from the room were superb. Together with helpful staff and an excellent breakfast made this a great place to stay. Although a 20 minute walk to the centre of Ortisei it is a beautiful way to take in the scenery.

Very beautiful view from the bedroom terrace. Comfy beds. Not so spacious, but very cozy.
Could have a minibar in the room.

Nothing as we did not stay at Hartmann, we only payed them
We really liked the hotel we stayed at, but we didn't stay at the Hartman Hotel! We received a message on our cell phone in which we were offered to upgrade to another hotel of the same chain - Hotel Acadia - Adults only, at no additional cost and we gladly agreed, the hotel was perfect and exceeded our expectations, but when we checked, out of curiosity how much a night there costs we discovered to our surprise that we paid almost 50 euros more and that was disappointing.
Although we complained several times in writing on WhatsApp, booking and email, we did not receive any reply and a few days after we arrived home we also discovered that we were charged once more (this time we received a credit and an apology for the mistake, but for our complaint, they just disappeared)

Breakfast and common space were great. Wish we had time to take advantage of the spa area.
Room was a bit on the small side. With luggage had a bit of a struggle trying to make everything stay organized. On a longer trip would likely unpack. Kept tripping over bathroom where there was a tiny step

I loved the bright and beautifully decorated room with huge private terrace with sun loungers overlooking the mountains. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Convenient location with parking a short walk from the centre of town. Superb hiking nearby.
The bathroom was a bit small. There was a minimal amount of road noise, but mostly drowned out by the pleasant sound of a rushing stream nearby, so not a problem.
