My spouse and I came here for a one-night stay for our honeymoon, and reserved a room with a private onsen with a traditional tatami room that overlooked Lake Otsu and everything about this experience was phenomenal.
The staff were friendly, polite, and respectful, and while we couldn't speak Japanese, tried their best to speak English with us. The facilities from the public areas (lobby and onsens), dining halls, and rooms were very clean. We loved enjoying the traditional experience of sleeping in a tatami room, which meant sleeping on the floor. The mattresses provided were surprisingly comfortable, and we actually got a really good night's rest.
Waking up in the morning to peace and quiet, with just the sound of the running onsen water in our private onsen made the experience more memorable. We also had a private dining room, which we were served 11-dishes, and the food quality, presentation, and experience is what you'd expect of a 5-star hotel!
We also loved having a private shuttle to pick us up and drop us off from the nearby train station to the hotel, especially since we were carrying quite a few pieces of luggage.
My only gripe with this hotel is that the air conditioning unit in our room wasn't strong enough, and so the combination of the morning sun and steam from the in-room onsen made the room quite hot.

Our room containing the hot tub on the balcony was amazing. The Onsen facilities are cool but be aware of gender segregation. The happy hour where the hotel provides free wine and snacks was lots of fun.
The evening meal was very basic and disappointing. The breakfast is entirely Japanese focused so will not suit many travelling visitors. The Onsen facilities are closed from 11pm so frustratingly you cannot use them the morning you check out.

Very good food, amazing service, very nice private onsen. It was a pleasure to stay and our whole time there was amazing. Looking forward to visit again.
The slippers the hotel offered were one size and did not fit one of my friends but it was only a minor inconvenience.

Firstly getting picked up by the hotels bus/van at the train station was EXTREMELY Convenient. They loaded all our bags and even loaded them in carts at the hotel to bring to the front desk. Check in was quick and they brought the bags to our room and showed us what the room had to offer. My Wife and I had the Deluxe Japanese Style Room with the balcony that had a private Onsen tub outside the room. The place was beautiful with the room clean and very spacious! The Balcony has a beautiful view of the Lake and the Onsen Hot tub was hot and relaxing! They had a variety of Yukata to wear and free drinks on the first floor.
We went outside on the first floor veranda to enjoy the night air. We saw some kittens playing on the premises which was a great bonus! Then we had our special Kaiseki dinner, which was great! Course after course went by and the food was great, especially the local Omi Beef! Then we went exploring the area and checked out the "library" where we just relaxed and had complementary snacks and drinks. Then the foot pool and the public Onsen on premises. We got a couples massage after and went back to the room to relax and soak in the private Onsen again.
The next morning we had a buffet breakfast with all the normal fare, but also some unique Japanese choices such as fish to grill on the grill, curry rice, and Onsen Tamago(Egg).
Checking out was easy and the ride back via bus from the hotel was much appreciated!

This delightful place is conveniently located near Biwako Lake. It offers the best in-room and common area onsens, ensuring a relaxing experience. Even on a rainy day, the surroundings remain stunning. The spacious rooms and excellent facilities provide a comfortable stay, and to top it off, my room features a luxurious massage chair for ultimate comfort. The hotel provide Japanese robes with a variety of colorful options that adorable and Instagrammable.
Additionally, the breakfast at this hotel offers a wide selection of delicious and luxurious dishes. It is truly one of the most indulgent breakfast experiences.
