AMAZING!!!! Loved every minute of our stay. Waking up and looking at hippos from our terrace was wonderful every morning. Staff can't do enough for you, special thanks to Jerimiah, our guide, for spotting and showing us so many animals. Food is outstanding. Absolutely amazing place, really hoping that we will be back. Thank you very much.
Would have been nice if pool was heated, didn't stop my son from swimming, but my husband and I weren't that brave

Talking to our Friends in their language in the dining room was a delight: Thank you, George!
All meal experiences-dining room, outside, bush, sundowner- were pleasant surprises...
Visiting the Fairmont organic garden and realizing that what we eat at Fairmont is all organic was so gratifying.
How we wished we had more days!
Praying for a return...
THANK YOU!
a. We booked through Booking.com and were charged a certain amount for the eight of us. We wanted to divide that by eight. On arrival we also asked for all our extra bills to be put together with that accommodation amount because we wanted to divide it by eight. Fairmont sent us a message wanting to know how we required our billing, which message we did not see until after the event. Without waiting for our response or asking us verbally, hotel made up separate bills per room thus charging the single rooms the highest amount possible and allocating the extras unevenly. This was unpleasant and could cause acrimony. Our two cents: i. if a message is not responded to, it is best to call on phone or to seek discussion in person; ii. Billings should be discussed on the eve of departure, not hurriedly as Guests depart.
b. There was a kind of rough rude tour guide who kept chewing... I had been to Fairmont before thus an exception was not too bad for me, but for the visitors this painted a bad picture.

Staff were helpful!
Good food & thanks to Chef for accommodating Kenyan food and kids request. Good vegetarian options.
Reuben-the Guru took great care of us and made sure we enjoyed the game drives and also ensured our safety at every step.
Edward has special “Masai Vision” that can spot Lions from 2 Kms with bare eyes when binoculars may fail!
The river behind property has plenty of Hippos and you can get great hippo views and wake-up alarms!
Please take note of additional Conservancy Fees based on No of pax, when you book, resort is inside Pvt. Conservancy which has almost extinct Whide Rhino pairs. Masai Mara National reserve is 2 hrs one way drive from resort.
Resort Land Cruisers with soft tops are good and have open views!

The hotel is located in a conservatory and we were able to see so many lions and other animals. We saw all of the big 5! Moseka, our guide, was amazing!!
A few lowlights:
- this isn’t a full board as water, and any other beverage, is chargeable. I would have expected water to be included.
- balloon ride: I had booked a balloon ride beforehand but this wasn’t acknowledged when I arrived and I needed to book again. In addition I was surprised to find from other guests that they could negotiate a lower price, which is something I wouldn’t expect at a fairmont.

The staff.
Caleb, Wilson and Peter in particular were exceptional.

Everything is simply fantastic. The full board is amazing and the menu changes daily. The included safari drives roam the famous Lemek Conservancy, ultra rich in wildlife including the big 5 (which we got). And who couldn’t love hippo corner, where up to 50 lounge on a mudbank just below the property!
Hmm. Too much delicious food? Too much wildlife?

Awesome place. Great Value for Money. Game Drives was the most amazing aspect. And our Driver, Mike, was a Pro. He didn’t miss and inch. Although we were still unlucky a bit, missed the leopards and cheetahs. Difficult to spot perhaps.
Rip Off Practices were very apparent. A full board means the resort is expected to take care of you from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave. Unfortunately, if your timings are not accurate, its upto you, they only have three free meals per night. There is no where else to go and the prices at the resort are exorbitant. Also meals are free. Drinks are not. Be ready to pay the meal price for the water bottle. Two drives are included. Morning and Evening. Although amazing, the staff wanted to charge us. It was our duty to prove them that its included in our package. Then there is a 25,000 KSH package to visit a nearby village. And the staff insisted you miss your game drive and take the package instead. And the usual ending, they take you to a large Masai shop with some wonderful items to buy. Kick Backs were apparent, whether to the staff/driver or Resort, I don’t know for sure.

loved the customer service and friendly staff, enjoyed getting to know the same waiter and guide
less lighting at night would be more beneficial for the animals

The whole experience was 10/10, from the welcoming with a cold towel and a fresh juice whilst checking in, to the tent and overall facilities of the club, the delicious and quality of every single meal we had and most of all the amazing game drives with our ranger Lenkoko who went above and beyond so we could see not only the big 5 and the great migration but a lot more. Hats off to all the staff for making our stay so amazing we didn’t want to leave.
The only thing I would mention is that the pool was not temperature controlled this too cold to be used for our liking. In all honesty, we didn’t miss not using the pool at all as there were all sorts of other entertainment available from the game drives to the cozy bar, the hippo corner etc…

The property is beautiful and comfortable, the food is great but the best part of the stay were the staff- they are truly exceptional. Every single person we interacted with seemed genuinely kind and helpful and our safari guides (Mike and Joy) were just incredibly knowledgeable and skilled. They really made our trip a trip of a lifetime.

Everything was excellent except see below
We had the smallest rype of tent for two people and even had to move the chair and the table out in order to being able to open our suitcases.
The personnel was very helpful with the move of the furniture but did not allow us to move to a bigger tent although the hotel was literally empty for three days. We had three rooms for which we paid the same price but one was bigger and the other one the same size as our was single occupancy.

I really cannot speak highly enough of the Fairmont Mara Safari Club. Getting into the taxi to go the airport I had that "kid at the end of vacation" feeling of not wanting to go home.
I stayed here alone for 4 days/3 nights and it was perfect. From organizing flights to food and game drives, I had an amazing time. Anthony, our game driver and guide, was incredibly knowledgeable about the wildlife and area, the Mara overall as well as all things Kenyan we wanted to know from him. We saw everything (including the "Big Five"), and Anthony knew enormous amounts about the animals and their ways of life. Dennis (who is actually a trained pastry chef!) was my server at meals, made sure I had everything I needed at any given time (including making sure I knew I would be in trouble with his grandmother for not eating desert). Everyone else was amazing too and greeted you with a hearty 'jambo' when you saw them anywhere, and you really felt well taken care of which.
One thing to note; this hotel is in a conservancy outside the main "Mara Triangle", which ultimately is the best place to be. Not only are there limited hotels in the area that are allowed access (vs rapid growth in the southern Mara) meaning fewer people around overall, but also means the drivers are allowed to go off-road and get as close to the animals as they will allow. This meant we got incredibly close to all of them (~20-30 feet).
Booking the flights can be a bit confusing - definitely let the Fairmont book flights for you and check whether it is included in the price.
