since most of the people who stay in the hotel go to safari very early in the morning it would have been a good idea to have late brakfast. packed brakfast was also good

They excel in customer service and are willing to go the extra mile to make your stay memorable. Everything about the property was perfect. One of the best stays we had in a long time. And yes don't miss their amazing breakfast. Special thanks to Shawn for making us feel at home every step of the way. We highly recommend the property.

We have stayed at several hotels on our journey through Sri Lanka so far and this one tops them all! The team are the most genuine & hospitable we have come across. From the pre-arrival communication with the FO manager Shawn to the service, maintenance and houskeeping team, everyone has been incredible. Executive chef and other members of management visiting the tables at breakfast & dinner was a really nice touch! Great facilities and treatment area which unfortunately we did not have time to experience, small gift shop, lovely pool and certainly one of the best views of Yoda lake you will find. They offer different therapy packages which we were unaware of before arrival. The guests appear to naturally come together and share the experience which we really liked to see! Joining eachother in the restaurant, we almost thought they were one big family! Be sure to take a superior room with a large balcony looking out to the lake, you will not be disappointed. Beautiful view of Yoda Lake, with regular sightings of eagles, hornbills, peacocks and even a croc Lovely friendly staff - who came across as one big family Amazing Ayurvedic treatments

The location next to the lake was stunning, the resort is within 15 minutes of Yala national park so it was perfect for our safari. The staff were very helpful and friendly in helping booking with our activities and provided a packed breakfast for a safari which started early AM. We got a free room upgrade which was very much appreciated. the food was delicious, especially the Sri Lankan curry. The massage we had was incredible so definitely book this! overall staying at Thaulle Resort made our holiday experience in Sri Lanka a great one and we would highly recommended staying here. Shawn especially made us feel very welcome.

the most beautiful location with a more than amazing and welcoming host and crew! we enjoyed every second in the hotel and the food was incredible! try the curry with rice. :) we also booked the safari via the hotel and it was the most adventurous time we had, we did even see leopards!!! really can recommend the place and its amazing people!

Location was nice - peaceful and tranquil surroundings. Locality to the new airport when that is up and running will be much easier to come and visit and make a safari in the future

Price of the room was quite high compared to other hotels in the area and whilst we were told rooms were upgraded i think they were actually just bigger in a different part of the hotel.

The greeting is very nice with clean towel and fresh drink. We received a room upgrade. All rooms have very nice lake view. Since it was our honeymoon, they prepared a wonderful fruit platter for us as a gift. Also, they prepared a romantic dinner table at a special place although we did not request such. Next morning we left the hotel at 5:00 am for safari, and our breakfast bags were already ready waiting for us at the reception. They also prepared breakfast for our driver. There was sandwich, cake, egg, bananas, water and fruit juice in the bag, which exceeded my expectation.

Although free driver accommodation is available, the hotel did not provide it to our driver, because we made our booking through Booking.com. Rather, they requested 2.000 rupee from the driver. But actually our driver suggested that hotel to us. So, if you have a driver, I suggest to make the reservation through phone (although it does not make sense if you are doing it overseas)

Gorgeous resort, helpful staff, good food and amazing view of Yoda Lake.

Incredible location, setting and facilities - the hotel was simply beautiful. As we are a family/group of 7, the hotel also kindly upgraded us so our rooms were all next to each other. We were in contact with Shawn right up to our stay who was super helpful, friendly and hospitable - he also organised an excellent safari and naturalist.

A bit pricey for sure, but the location is good for a safari and the facilities are great. There is plenty of skilful staff to take care of your needs. They prepared us an early breakfast to take away during our morning safari. The view on the lake is relaxing and beautiful.

We loved the shower! The secret pool by the beach is definitely worth a visit. The food was lovely and a wonderful view from our balcony. All the staff could not have been more accommodating and helpful.

Unfortunately the wifi did not work for us but it didnt matter!

Very helpful staff

As soon as we arrived, we were made to feel right at home. We had a long journey and were greeted by fresh cold towels and fresh juice! We also had a room upgrade! The staff went so out of their way for us during our stay and we found it so difficult to tear ourselves away. The hotel itself is lovely and tranquil and in such a beautiful setting. Shawn was so helpful and always on hand if we needed anything. We had an early safari one morning and they prepared a picnic breakfast for us to take. The food was wonderful and I would 100% recommend Thaulle to anybody considering it.
