This place has three things going for it: Location, location, location. With direct access to the sea from the property, great outdoor spaces, and a stunning view of the bay, you'll be relaxed and mesmerised in no time. Even in the heat of midday, you can sit in shaded serenity listening to the sound of lapping water. This is the ultimate beach shack. House Practicalities - fully equipped BBQ including a sink with full view of the water, fresh water shower to hose off after a swim, comfy sun chairs to lay in when you're not swimming, outdoor dining area under a pagola in full view of the water, well kept gardens, tonnes of lighting at night, washing machine, inflatable toys etc for the kids/those who want to float about, two bathrooms, came with all the things you don't think of like oil, salt, coffee, first aid kit etc. Big plus was off street parking! Local area practicalities - like many places in southern Italy keep an ear out for vendors.. anything from cheese and sausages to gelato will come straight to the door in the mornings. Easy to drive to other little towns like Noto or Avola and obviously Siracusa, where you can also get groceries.

Awesome beach shack by the sea.. The living quarters are small and basic but honestly you spend all your time outdoors. We are a family of 4 with two teens so we made use of the garden. Must use bug spray (they had plenty). Kitchen is basic but more than adequate for simple meals. The shack isn't soundproofed so you get a bit of noise from local party goers (there is a beach club near by)..

The Ecocasette is right on the beach with a small slope down to the beach. Ecocasett has a absolutly wonderful garden with many places to sit and socialize depending on whether you want to sit in the shade or the sun. There is a lovely pergola if you want to sit outside and eat in the shade. The house is small but has everything you need. The house has three bedrooms, a bathroom and a lounge / kitchen. The house has a lovely terrace to sit and eat on (there is no dining area inside). Our host Silvia and her parents were absolutely wonderful they did everything they could to make our stay perfect. When we arrived on Saturday evening, Silvia had prepared wine and some Sicilian specialties as a evening meals for us and we felt really welcome. You need a car as the house is some distance from the nearest shops (supermarket, bakery, butcher. During our stay, we experienced the neighborhood area on Bicycle (available at the accommodation), Syracuse, Ortigia and Leorardo da´Vinci Museum (20 minutes by car), Oriented nature reserve cava grande, a must do experiance (40 minutes by car), The Archaeological Park in the western part of Syracuse, 20 minutes by car). We lived 4 in the house, two adults and two children (9 and 13 years old). We stayed between26 of October2 and 2 of November 2019, it was between 23-26 degrees in the air and 22 degrees in the sea :) We spent a lot of time in the sea and snorkeled and saw lots of different fish. Ecocasette is like a little paradise and we will gladly return.

That there were a dining area inside and not just on the terrace, some evnings were a bit "cold" and windy and it would have been nice to be able to site inside to eat.

The location was incredible, with a breathtaking view!
