Everything about 1 logis a Domme was above my expectations, starting with the excellent location, next to one of the historic gates of this little gem of a French bastide that is Domme, in the Perigord Noir. The owners were extremely kind, attentive to our every need and made our stay here a week that I will remember for ever. The breakfast was excellent, their house was decorated to perfection and the garden offered a heaven of peace and tranquility. We’ve enjoyed immensely the hot tub, surrounded by the magic flowers of the garden and also enjoyed the company of their lovely cat and three gorgeous dogs. Thank you once again for taking the time to answer all our question, for your kindness and for making the days spent at 1 logis a Domme unforgettable and magic.

Superb. A beautifully and tastefully renovated home. The welcome was warm and the surroundings magnificent. We felt completely at home. The room was fabulously cool in the heat. The breakfasts are just perfect and the hosts kind and thoughtful.

Nothing. The bath was a little small for me but there was an excellent shower.

Our hosts welcome was warm and friendly. The room was stunning , beautiful and immaculate . We enjoyed our breakfasts very much and the garden location was perfect. The hosts little dogs were delightful. The location could not have been better and relaxing on the terrace with breathtaking views of the countryside was a perfect end to both evenings we stayed. Wonderful location and our hosts made us feel welcomed.. Silent air conditioning was brilliant, guaranteeing a good sleep in a comfortable bed. Breakfast on the terrace was a delight.

Words cannot express our joyful experience in this charming retreat! The magical gardens with the refreshing swimming pool overlooking picturesque valleys with changing colors throughout the day, the spacious comfortable rooms finely decorated with traditional French furnitures with modern bathrooms, amazing room service, and above all - the amazing home made breakfast freshly served every morning with a supporting warm smile of Francois and Helen!!! Both of them were extremely friendly and helpful in all respects: excellent tips for activities in the Dordogne, excellent recommendations for the best restaurants in the area, but above all welcoming and warm couple for interesting conversations… With no doubt this is one of the best places we ever stayed in !!!

There is nothing you cannot like in this Island of Eden !

In an idyllic, peaceful setting, this boutique hotel had a very pretty garden with far reaching panoramic views across the valley. Charming, helpful hosts made us feel at home with them, their three friendly little dogs, and cat roaming the garden. The excellent wifi signal extends all the way to the pool; but with the pool and whirlpool designed for relaxation you shouldn’t need it here. There is a cosy sitting room guests can use, but with the summer heat the garden and pool were more tempting. Breakfast is superb with fresh quality produce, attentively served by François. Indeed there is loving attention to detail everywhere in the decor and comfort. Everything is quality from the coffee pot at breakfast, to the tasteful wallpaper and decor, to the toilet paper. Importantly, the bed was a supering size and very comfortable. Air conditioning was effective and both a safe and a fridge in the room added to the convenience. Guests are invited to make themselves picnics in the garden and the host will provide plates and cutlery - so welcoming, in a gentle way. As we had arrived at the airfield in a small plane François kindly collected us and brought us back again after our stay.

The only negative was leaving.

It's a marvelous, fully renovated house dating back from middle ages. At entering, you can literally sense the spirit and the ambiance of the old times, yet the mansion is completely modern, with all necessary accommodations and stuff you would expect for a comfortable, modern style hotel stay. Rooms are very spacious, decorated with taste and very, very clean. Bathroom is also sufficiently spacious, supplied with all necessary items you would find in any reputable hotel chain. Rooms are close to the backyard garden that reveals a magnificent view to the valley from above, there you also find the pool and the jacuzzy that you may like to use. Garden itself is a small marvel, with flowers, under-tree shadows and couple-benches for relaxation and enjoyment. The garden is also the place to serve (in sunny days) the delicious breakfast that the polite hosts would prepare for you with love and delight. Looking like a family hotel, the place provides the amicable welcome and personal approach that one is happy to find in France country side. Being asked, the personnel would suggest you nice places to visit and to dine; located behind the old-city walls, it is closed to the main commercial (and quite steep) walking street and has well ranged private parking place located less than 100 m from the hotel. At the different steps of your booking reservation you are followed by your hosts who precise your requirements, arrival time and finally, at your leave, submit a nice thankful message for staying with them. Such sweet touches of personal attitude leave in addition a very pleasant feeling on top of the wonderful stay. We are a couple in our late 40s, without kids and loved our stay here. Many thanks to Hélène and François who secured this for us. Definitely a place to repeat when we pass through the region again.

Fabulous stay, don’t understand where the 0.2 is missing from a perfect score. it would have been better if we had stayed in warmer weather so we could have enjoyed the pool, but that was our choice

Our room had very steep stairs...but it was very nice otherwise.

Amazing breakfast, amazing location and amazing B&B. Super clean, the hosts were extremely hospitable and friendly and the facilities were superb. 11/10, would recommend to everyone. By far the best location in our 2 week trip through France!

We had a wonderful welcome from friendly hosts, and it was very convenient being able to unload right outside and then park in a dedicated free car park 50 metres away. Location was amazing, right by one of the gates into Domme. We were in Room 4, which was actually a suite with living area, tiny terrace area and bathroom (no toilet, but bath and separate spacious shower) on the ground floor, and bedroom and toilet on the first floor. All very spacious and beautifully decorated. Superking bed. There was also a lovely garden which all guests could use, with a lovely view and tables where you could eat your own picnic or takeaway. We didn't have breakfast (13 euros) so can't comment on that. We were there in a heatwave so it was absolute bliss to have the pool, especially in such a stunning location! A lovely, friendly atmosphere. Loads of good information about local attractions. Owners have three friendly little Jack Russells. In Domme itself, don't miss out on an evening meal at the Belvedere - good value and just breathtaking view. Or if you're really pushing the boat out then eat at the Esplanade. But for value, go with the Belvedere - same view at a fraction of the price, and good food!

Ideally, it would be great to have a full-length mirror, and also a bin on the first floor. I only mention this because everything was to such a high standard that it was a bit surprising not to have these. There was hanging space, but not really any cupboard space to unpack clothes into (although there was a huge chest).
