Wish there were more variance in the menu at the hotel since there is no other restaurants in the near that is an option. But we had some really good meals there as well

They have made a super job of opening up post pandemic. the food in the evening is excellent, they could do with a day/bar type menu, which I understand is coming imminently.

The location and views at Kalamota were amazing. The rooftop pool is just stunning and since the hotel only has 8 rooms, it was never crowded. The rooms were spotless every single day, kudos to the cleaning staff. Next to that, the manager did make an effort to improve our stay after we had shared our bad experience with the restaurant staff.

Having spent 10 days with a family of four we found the place not to be geared towards families much. There was no small playground (which was advertised) and the restaurant has no real kid-friendly options. The staff of the restaurant did not want to be flexible around small changes since it wasn't part of 'the concept' so in all honesty, we have had a very poor experience with the evening shift of the restaurant. The manager did change this around in the last days, for which we are thankful.

If you don’t like it peaceful, quiet and beautiful - don’t come to this island or hotel.

New building, spacious apartments, nice rooftop pool. Secluded spot (away from public ferry).

Service could have been better, even though we were the only guests they seem to struggle to get things right first time. Everything did get done in the end but in a 4 star resort I would’ve expected more anticipation of staff without various reminders. Also we were not aware that the hotel is located on a car-free island but also a 25-30 min walk away from the public ferry point (so a no go if you’re travelling with luggage, in which case you don’t have a choice but to use a private transfer which is pricey).

Best customer service & hospitality. hotel staff was very accommodating to all our requests, arranged transportation in and out of the island & private boat tour of the neighboring islands & transferred us to sister hotel near airport to meet our early flight schedule. hotel room was very nice with a great view.

due to hotel's location in kolocep island, it's about 20 min boat ride from the old city of dubrovnik and a bit inconvenient to move in and out of the island with limited number of a ferry schedule per day.

A dreamy location. A magicaland enchanted atmosphere. The apartments are modern and tastefully decorated, comfortable, very spacious, incredibly clean and equipped to particularly high standard. The view from the balcony is breathtaking. The breakfast and the food at the bar and the restaurant are varied and tasty. The entire hotel staff, without exception (including: Roman, Vladimir, Ivo the chef, the reception and cleaning staff) is simply amazing, incredibly friendly and supremely professional! each one of them is willing to help in any matter at any time - always with a smile and endless courtesy. Finally, a thousand thanks and more to the hotel manager, Mr. Andrija Maurovic - the man and the legend, who "conducts the whole orchestra" with excessive success and commendable modesty and who went out of his way to make us feel at home. The personal and warm treatment we received as well as caring, the professional and uncompromising service, which was beyond all imagination, and the concern for every detail are not taken for granted. Thanks to him our vacation has become an unforgettable experience and one that exceeds all expectations. Highly recommended

Everything about Kalamota Beach House was fantastic and we had the best time there. The facilities were modern and the apartment was incredibly clean. We really enjoyed dining at the restaurant and the staff made our stay extra special.

Suggestion for improvement: Consider to have a SUB for rent besides the kayaks.

Location was great with lovely views, although it should be made clear that access is by boat only and that the ferry stops on the other side of the island.

Unfortunately, my wife got bitten by many gnats when sitting outside for dinner - again, the hotel should let guests know this is a problem on the island.
