When we arrived quite early (6:30AM) the hosts did not hessitate to let us stay on the balcony with pancakes and tea to enjoy the sunrise until our room was ready. They were very forthcoming and made our visit memorable. The Breakfast was amazing and quite some portions. We could even get a takeaway. The view of the balcony was amazing.

The location is a little bit outside (10min to Kandy with a Tuk-Tuk) but the view was worth it

View from Balcony. We sat out having our morning tea with our binoculars and saw Brahmins Kite, a king fisher , parakeets and White Bellied Sea-Eagle 😁 as well as squirrels playing on neighbours roof. Breakfast was a lovely selection of freshly made food and staff always attentive, helpful and friendly. An excellent homestay experience.

To be honest, we don’t understand why this place has such good reviews. We didn’t really have the best stay here, the service is unpleasant. - Wifi was not working well - Water from the shower was cold to lukewarm - Breakfast was not good at all, 1) it is not freshly prepared, 2) we felt like we got the leftovers from the guests before us and we had hair on the fruit platter - In the morning you can smell the kitchen - The bed was too short - The host was arguing and discussing with us, although we were talking from different things, so communication was hard - They were asking us over and over again at what time and what we want to have for breakfast as they just forgot all the time - We couldn’t have breakfast in peace as everyone is passing by or the owner is asking you the third time what your plans are for kandy - You can hear the cars but that’s probably due to the hectic city - Not enough power outlets - Salah time of the Muezzin starts at about 5am, prepare to be woken up as mosque must be nearby - Too expensive for what you get

Amazing view Fantastic choice at breakfast and very tasty, however as a tourist I am conscious about food waste. Maybe they could offer small portions or only bring what guests have ordered to help with this

Confusion about payment, cash only and was asked to go out at night to get money from ATM Location is fantastic for the view but really need a Tuk tuk into town, not a problem but worth to consider especially as solo traveller

Het personeel is heel vriendelijk. We werden warm ontvangen onder het genot van een kopje thee. Na een leuk gesprek en wat tips konden we ons even klaarmaken en genieten van het uitzicht wat dit hotel je te bieden heeft. Kamer was erg schoon, wel liepen er enkele mieren rond. Maar goed, wat verwacht je als je midden in zo’n mooie natuur zit. Het ontbijt was fantastisch! Zeer uitgebreid. Wat we niet op kregen, kregen we mee voor tijdens de tripjes overdag. We waren zo de gehele dag van eten voorzien. De tripjes werden verzorgd door Ruyan. Hij werd aangeboden door het hotel. Een zeer fijne gids die ons mooie plekjes in de stad liet zien. Je kunt via het hotel naar hem vragen.

Het hotel ligt op zo’n 20-25 minuten afstand met de tuktuk van het centrum vandaan. Dit was voor ons geen probleem, maar dit is wel iets om rekening mee te houden.

Everything was perfect. Really clean place, attention to the clients and nice people, especially Sarath who helped us in everything. The breakfast was really good and they prepared lots of things. For the travel around Kandy we called Austin who has a tuktuk nearby the hotel and he was really helpful and he explained us lots of things. His number: 0766517623.

A lovely hotel with absolutely fantastic views!!! The staff are incredibly helpful, polite, kind and just all round wonderful! The rooms are quiet and the breakfast has a great selection. You even get your breakfast packed for you for when you explore

Everything was amazing. Super clean and comfortable room with breathtaking view. Super helpful staff. They gave us some tips about the city, arranged tuk-tuk for good price, gave us tea when we were tired in the evening. Delicious breakfast, and it was so much food that we took sandwichees with as for having lunch in the city. Everything was just perfect. I would stay again for sure.

The rooms were very clean and comfortable and the view from our room was amazing, staff were excellent and we had a great breakfast.

The views were spectacular, the room comfy and the private balconies a delight. Private breakfast overlooking the hills, with the best food we'd had, was a real holiday highlight. The owner was over from Australia and such a lovely woman who made us feel completely at home

Depending on what you're looking to get out of your location in Kandy, Serenity Hill Oasis might not be for you - it is not in the centre of bustling Kandy. However, that was exactly what we wanted, to be up in the more peaceful mountains overlooking the city (and only a 10-15 minute drive to the city, considering a lot of traffic)

The view from the house and the rooms is so lovely. You have in front of you the impressive Knuckles, where you could lose hours just looking at them. The landscape when the sun is rising, breathtaking. It has the most excellent and huge breakfast I have had in Sri Lanka. Jayantha is so nice, a great cooker and always helping you to make the very best of your stage at her place. If you go to this part of the island, you must not miss a trekking through the Knuckles mountains with the nice and expert guide, Ravi. We made a trekking with him and it was one of the best experiences here in Sri Lanka. He knows perfectly well the region and has a huge knowledge of the trees, birds, animals, etc and the places where he brought us were exceptional. Accomodation and mountain guide highly recommended!!

The room was very nice and clean. The view from the balcony and also from a room was spectacular. The host was so kind, helpful and worm. The breakfast - we like Sri Lankan breakfast and were asked every morning for special wishes - was really big and very tasty, we weren’t able to eat it all so we could take it away..
