The staff were very friendly and welcoming. They went above and beyond to help me out, picking me up from the train station and driving me to and from the slopes every day. Accommodation was also very clean. They also helped to organise a lift pass. The self serve coffee and tea station was nice too.

You don't get a towel with the room. You can rent one at the front desk which worked well but in the future I'll make sure to bring my own. Also in the shared accommodation showering times are only in the afternoon, the shower room seemed to be closed in the mornings.

Let me start by saying that the staff were dear and kind throughout my stay. They were attentive to every question and request, helpful when providing information, and showed great kindness to me over the week I spent at Wataboshi Inn. The location is a 10 minute walk from the slopes, but has the added benefit of being in a quiet are surrounded by trees and other small inns and houses. My room was small, simple, and cozy in ways that surpassed my hopes. I had a great week of solitude and peace in the snow and evergreen trees. I recommend the Wataboshi Inn to anyone looking for a balance of action and quiet, or a mellow stay at a unique and comfy inn surrounded by mountains. 素敵な経験だった。亭主は優しすぎた。おすすめですよ！11/10❤️

Very welcoming and helpful staff , always warm in public area , room is spacious and cozy, they offer shuttle to Escal plaza every morning and evening even it's just nearby

The house is comfortable and the hosts look after you really well. Although not advertised on Booking.com they do help you in purchasing ski lifts and renting ski equipment for a very reasonable price. They also drive you to and from the ski lifts everyday so you don't have to walk with any of your gear.

There isn't much to dislike here. They do have a lot of rules in place at the house, such as a 10pm curfew but they allow you to stay out later if you just inform them. There are signposts around the inn telling you what to do and what not to do and sometimes these are poorly translated into English and make them hard to understand. The shower and bathroom is open between 4pm and 8pm and it would be ideal if it was also open first thing in the morning as well between 6am - 7am.
