We booked the hotel for one night. Just to be able to make it to the Airport, because they had delays. Our group was leaving and we only needed on night to stay safe for our flight. I was ready to jump out the Taxi because he was going the opposite way from the “BEACH” as it states BEACH FRONT. I told the driver to take us back to the Father’s jerk because we staying on a well lit place. Which wasn’t where he was headed. I had my pepper spray ready this was my Sons first time here & with the high alert from the US my first priority was getting him home safe and sound. Not to mention the day before “Wednesday” a 24 year old young lady was found dead in the same Parish St James Montego Bay. Once I got back to the Jerk place I saw they texted & told them we want to cancel the place wasn’t on the Beach front she told me NO. Then got an attitude. The place was &88. My credit card is charged $169.00. Which I am disputing with them as we speak.

It wasn’t as mention “BEACH FRONT” it’s on the opposite side of the Beach.

The pool was not available, and this did not face the ocean. The kitchen was dated and poorly equipped. The mattress was very bad and the TV in the bedroom was poorly set up. .

The apartments we rented were next door to each other so it made for easy access. The caretaker Rowan was quite helpful.

The property as described on Booking.com was completely misleading. The host Neena blamed booking.com for not making these updates. This is not beach front as this wasn’t accessible by any human neither is it luxurious. The pool sits in front right past this gate so you know it’s not a pool but a hot tub that wasn’t functional. The apartments especially #3 is very old with wood rot. The floors in the other apartments were replaced but they also have wood rot and extremely old. There’s no air conditioning in the main level where people would spend time. We booked a chef service and they were aware of the number in our party and didn’t have the right pans for him to cook with. He arrived at almost 3pm and at 8pm was so frustrated and going from one apartment to the other looking for baking tins. Thankfully I had foil trays that he use for some of our meals. The ingredients that we paid for to be used were not provided so he made the most of what he got as he wasn’t in consultation of what he needed to Cooke the meals. when I pointed out the issues with my apartment to the host Neena she was extremely rude. This was surprising and as our conversation went - if as the customer my voice wasn’t raised I couldn’t understand her raising hers. Apparently they’ve had so many similar issues.

I like that the location was gated which made me feel safe and I especially like that it’s walking distance to eating and shopping. Host made it very easy to get around otherwise. And the driver was a sweetheart!

I don’t like that there was no AC downstairs and the doors must remain closed in the bedrooms to keep the AC on upstairs.

Communication is very important to me, so I did had a good experience by talking to Mrs Nianna the owner, with whatever I need. It was a great stay, sadly I was I alone, but made the best of my stay and trip to Jamaica.

What I didn’t like about it was that even by 3:00pm, the time for check in the place was still not done cleaning yet. It wasn’t ready. Still give a 10 for the effort and my wonderful stay.

The place was beautiful. The location was perfect. Neena was a excellent host. Jave was an excellent property manager. Will stay again.

No complaints. We had a great stay.

The AC was broken in the master bedroom upon arrival, I had to sleep the first night without ac. But they staff accommodated us with fans until the ac was fixed. The location isn’t in walking distance to downtown Montego Bay. They will charge like a private resort but it’s not a resort. It’s not in walking distance for many shopping areas. There’s a fee for EVERYTHING LITERALLY!! So be prepared to pay.
