Yellow Bird to me is the perfect place. Lovely garden, friendly staff, clean comfortable rooms and the best beach in the area. Many hotels have a lot of chairs lined up in a row but not here, there is a lot of room on the beach. Housekeeping is great.

The one thing that could be improved is the kitchen. Its about to fall apart and didnt have a lot of utensils.

I love that the room was cooled and ready for us. The beds were made and the designs on it weren’t very fancy but they tried. I liked that the room windows had mesh so that we could sleep with the windows open without worrying about mosquitoes. The beach is clean and well taken care of

The shower, the shower, the shower! How can you clean the place so well from bathroom to bedroom and not make sure that the shower was clean too? It’s already small, barely holds one good sized person much less two, AND IT’S DIRTY? I mean, hair and old soap sud all over the walls and shower curtain. I honestly wanted to puke. And there was no cleaning products there either or else I would’ve darn cleaned it myself just to enjoy my shower. I had to use the little bin in the bathroom to full water in it and wash the walls and curtain off just so I could have a good bath after coming from the beach. That’s a really big misstep in the company’s part. I wanted to demand for a discount because I came so late, it’s not like the staff had to rush to clean, but I’m not a very confrontational person. I wasn’t going to bother with writing a review either, but I thought to myself that if someone had this experience and posted it, at least I’d know what to look out for before booking here. There’s literally no excuse. My boyfriend said he’d rather the beds be dirty than the shower lol. I don’t know if I agree but the shower and beds are the most important parts of someone’s overall experience. I’m disappointed. All for $146 USD / $21,900 JMD (which by the way, doesn’t match their price on booking.com where I actually made my reservation what’s up with that??? I basically paid more for less. I could’ve gone to a more reputable villa in the area because the price ended up being the same). This is just my experience though, yours might be better.

This is my second time staying at the yellow bird. It is located on seven mile with a 20 minute walk to the town. I love the comfortable vibe and the staff are amazing, they are friendly, helpful and very professional ❤️

I don’t have any complaints, if I had to find one I would say that the shared kitchen lacked cutlery which was an easy fix of using plastic utensils.

the location is best - the place is immaculate - the staff is great and attentive - I love the friendliness and the lifeguard made a banging jerk chicken!

it’s very simple but that is fine / how ever I think the price is a little too high for the accommodations.

I liked the access to the beach and it was a very quite place. The room was always clean and with enough space. The staff was always ready to help and nice.

The AC was not working most of the time without any reason. I thought the place had a restaurant, but it was not the case. The reception is not open often.

I like that it was had beautiful beach access.

The rooms were not properly ventilated. There was a smell coming from my bathroom that I could not locate. Found out it was coming from the outside. I could not close the bathroom window because once you close the windows the room would quickly become stuffy and hot.

Yellow bird is always my first choice of stay when in jamaica. I’ve been coming for 4 years now so that should already say a lot , i have stayed at yellow bird every single time. The staff is amazing, location is perfect so close to everything. The bartender is such a nice woman and makes the best drinks. My all time favorite is their beach area. Opening your door to the most beautiful room i’ll never get over. I will always reccomend staying here when you travel to jamaica.

Access to the beach as I'm disabled was excellent.

No kitchen utensils in kitchen. No available morning coffee as before when I visited in the past. And no cooked breakfast as before. This. I was looking forward to. I now know it's been sold and it's likely the change has also been due to covid. They also charged me £100 for comission to booking.com as they said it's compulsory. Is this true a as I have never paid booking.com before like this.

Close to the beach and street food, restaurants .met the new owner who seemed nice.

The bungalow was a semi detached shed, luckily our neighbors were good, you are separated by just a wall of timber boards. We were close to the main road and during the night it can get a bit noisy with the locals . In my mind I'd created something a little more upmarket when I saw the price before the significant reduction but it was ok and we enjoyed our stay there.

I love that the property was duper easy to find, the entrance to the office was great to get our paper work done was easy. the security was helpful and nice! the lady that check us in Yvonne was awesome, she made up felt comfortable!!! I really loved the overall customer service I received.

that booking needs communication with property many guests besides myself felt it was no where near the description online and overpriced …. once was a great place for many years but them days out recently over… won’t stay ever again

Loved the location, right next to the sea . Room was nice and clean, and had a good sized fridge. The shower was big and had warm water. Bed was pretty comfy, and the room was cleaned daily Lots of hummingbirds flying about in the flowering tree next to our room.

The grounds could have been a bit nicer. Some overgrown grass, and sand could have been raked up to make it look even better. Heard a few staff people using language that was totally inappropriate during the later evening

The staff are friendly and helpful. The location is right on the beach and could not be any better.

I can't think of any thing which I did not like. Management is always quick to rectify any situation if there was one.
