Superb views, good location for village. The breakfast was really good, plenty of choice and all very good quality. Convenient parking and plenty of walks right on the doorstep. Giving us a bottle of water and a few mints, as we left, was a lovely touch and much appreciated on our 280 miles drive home. Thank you!
Ensuite. There was a very dated suite ( Room 6) with a crack in the sink, a minor point but disappointing, as the rest of the facilities were so good.

The hotel has an amazing location just a short stroll from centre of Mevagissey. Breakfast was excellent with lots of healthy choices and was served in a room with wonderful sea views. Our room was quiet, cosy and with everything you could need for a comfortable stay.

The breakfast was a buffet type breakfast which was lovely, fresh fruit, toast, cereal etc, rooms were clean and showers lovely, beautiful views from the lounge area and breakfast room look over the sea. Owners were lovely
Couldn’t get into our rooms until 4pm which was a bit later than we would have liked

the room and the bathroom were a decent size. The bath was a beautiful addition to the bathroom. The view from the room was very lovely. The food at breakfast was plentiful and tasty. The bed was comfy.
The shower doors didn’t close properly. There were stained parts in the bathroom. You could hear lots from the room upstairs, even snoring. The outside chair was broken and the decking slippery. Got an email a couple of days before we arrived telling us it was continental breakfast not full English.

The view was beautiful. The breakfast selection was excellent.
There was free parking but it was a little tight. The steps up to the hotel were steep and so we decided not to haul up our suitcases. However, we have seen worse in Cornwall!

The hotel would be better served by having cooked meals

The breakfasts were excellent and suited me particularly as I like cereal, fresh fruit and yoghurt which were all available plus many other options in the buffet and others that could have been provided from the kitchen. It was good to have a lounge with a view of the sea as my bedroom did not have that view.
The hairdryer packed up on first use and then failed to produce much heat, but I should have raised the issue and didn't so my fault. I had not registered that there were no facilities for evening meals in the hotel, but again, I should have checked. Being a lone traveller, I sometimes prefer not to go out in the evening. But these are minor points - it is an excellent hotel/B&B.

Fantastic tranquil weekend in a hotel that is in an exceptional location, offering outstanding views and a great base for venturing into the town and surrounding countryside. Staff (John, Elleke and Berneice) were fantastic, food was great, and the venue was everything I hoped it would be. 5 Stars, 1st Rate

great location with awesome views and friendly staff.
Although the check out time was 10.30 we were a bit put out when we had a Knock on the door @ 9.55 to say that we had to be out sooner due to the ‘housekeeper’ hours on that particular day. slightly unprofessional as we could have been advised sooner as we are a very accommodating couple.
Also surprised that there was not a cooked breakfast option, however the egg boiling equipment and selection of alternative food made up for this.

The view was nice...the bar was cute
Nice breakfast
When we arrived the road up to the hotel was closed off for a week or more, so we had to do a 10 mile detour around which was a real pain..
Our vacation time was at 11 but they were short staff and wanted us to leave at 9, they was in such a rush they were even going to pack or bags for us, so I wasn't happy about that ..so a real rush get out the door job

Good. Full English breakfast not available owing to staff shortages.

It’s truly beautiful. The views are incredible and the staff are so accommodating. It was the owners that were there while we were and honestly they were incredible and we couldn’t have been more thankful.
Not a didn’t like but more a warning. The hill to the property it quite steep and you cannot see other cars coming and there is not a long of space to get past them. The property is incredible. Just the road leading to it.

The owners John and Elleke are wonderful hosts and the nicest people! Many thanks for all the help they gave us! The hotel is beautifully located overlooking the bay and in walking distance to Mevagissey. Our twin room was very clean and had a very nice large bathroom. Breakfast is also very good, especially the fresh fruit salad (we did not miss the fully cooked breakfast at all).
The road leading up to the hotel is very steep and narrow with traffic ahead. There is a detour of about 10km via the Lost Gardens of Heligan and Gorran Churchtown which is much easier to drive and which we would recommend to all drivers who are not used to traffic on the left side and/or narrow Cornish roads. We wish we had known about that road before arriving at the hotel the first time.

the view was fantastic
we upgraded to a room with a patio and partial sea view but we couldn’t see the sea as the plants were very overgrown
the room wasn’t that clean and then didn’t do a cooked breakfast it was only continental even though breakfast was included in the price

Room was well presented and looked clean. Breakfast was good, you shouldn’t go hungry but they blame lack of cooked breakfast on inability to attract staff. Plenty of on-site parking and the hosts are very welcoming.
Photos of hotel on booking.com show modern bathrooms. Didn’t realise that if you view the selected room photos, the images actually show a dated bathroom in Room 5. Also found quite bad mould behind the window blinds and behind the radiator which really should have been picked up by the owners.
Mattress was quite hard (though appreciate that’s personal choice) and the walls are pretty thin.
