Location and decor

Thought I had booked a room with a bath. But it was a wet room

Couldn't fault the staff, the room, the food. Excellent especially for gluten free requirements. Highly recommend. Fantastic value for money. We stayed in Morecambe so we could go to the theatre in Lancaster and have a walk along the prom the next day. Wonderful childhood memories came flooding back. Would definitely stay here again.

We loved the character of the building and the tv showing a video of the history of the hotel and Morecambe by gone days was a pleasure to watch. Special shout out the the chef. Amazing food large portions and accommodating for our needs.

Location was good, modern and clean, lovely bedroom and bathroom, the breakfast room was very nice too.

The choice of food in the bar wasn’t great, no choice of something light or a good salad.

Rooms were nicely appointed with good standard of decor with a contemporary modern feel. Bed were really comfortable. Bar and restaurant had a good selection of beers and wines, and the food was lovely, although some ingredients were swapped out in the meals which was explained to us. Breakfast was excellent with a choice of what you wanted prepared to order. The location was just a few yards off the main promenade down a side street.

Nothing, the hotel was excellent all round , it was just Morcambe sea front and town ,just like so many towns these day just seemed sad and tired in parts but lovely to walk in the sea air along the promenade.

Noise from the road and chiming bells from somewhere outside woke me up at 6am One night at dinner waited 30 minutes for starter then 30 minutes for mains ,more serving staff required in the eveniings

The decor and furnishings appeared recent and well-maintained. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom in particular, was very nice - with a heated/illuminated (steam free) main mirror (so few hotels get this right). Lovely shower. Bar & Dining areas were modern, cosy & inviting. Staff very helpful and appeared cheery enough. Fantastic cooked breakfasts.

The hotel parking over the road was relatively limited (10 spaces) and quite tight to enter/exit. Sash windows in the room were a bit hit & miss staying open (maybe there's a trick? It eluded me.) Creaky floors and minor sound bleed from other rooms (but it's a character building).

The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was also very nice too.

The room was a little on the small side and we would expect something bigger for the price we paid. The bathroom was a wet room and the shower water went everywhere and we had to use one of the towels to clear up excess water. Also the window in our bedroom was broken and was propped open with a piece of wood. The food in the restaurant was expensive and it was a set menu so the choices were limited.

The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help us. The rooms were extremely comfortable and had been refurbished to a high standard. The food was excellent, never seen such a large breakfast!

The hotel was cosy and friendly with a lovely beer garden. The breakfast was excellent value for money. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

the bar closed very early (10pm) ish, so had to take drink up to our room, would have preferred to sit in the bar.

Staff and owner very friendly restaurant area and food very good, beer garden area looked great but unfortunately the weather was awful during our stay so we were unable to make use of it, but that was not the hotels fault, the bar area was a pleasant refuge from the weather.

It was a good location, central but not noisy. The room had everything we needed and was clean and comfortable and the staff were welcoming and friendly. We had an evening meal at the hotel, my husband enjoyed his large portion of fish and chips but my cauliflower steak was disappointing. Breakfast was good although the two of the vegetarian choices were not avalilable we both enjoyed what we had.

We were happy with the hotel and facilities.
