Right from the start, the owners were helpful and prompt to reply with initial enquiries and have been throughout; always willing to please.
The cottage itself is perfectly placed for strolling around Buxton and all that it has to offer - and there is plenty. Also being where Buxton is located in the Peak District, there are so many places to visit within an hour's drive.
Everything is in your favour for a very successful holiday, booking this cottage. My husband and I, along with our 12 year old granddaughter, had a brilliant weeks stay. In our 60s and 70s, we even managed to keep up with her when we hiked up Kinder Scout, the highest peak in the Peak District. A must if you can do it - the views are amazing.
The cottage is very modern and clean. Beds are extremely comfortable, and the family bathroom has both a bath and a powerful shower. Lounge/Diner and Kitchen are open plan, with everything you need for your convenience. Oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, large dining room table, large TV, Bluetooth speaker for your music, comfy sofas, and several throws.
It is a beautiful cottage, with the added bonus of guaranteed parking in a secure compound.

Lovely location, everything we needed, nice and quiet. The house is spotless, lovely decor. Pubs and shops close by also the train station isn't far, especially when we don't drive. Lovely welcome with the milk and biscuits on our arrival. It was much appreciated has it was a long journey. Also, the lovely card welcoming us to their property. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Very comfortable, well equipped apartment in central Buxton. We really enjoyed being able to walk to the supermarket, shopping centre and many of Buxton’s famous attractions.
We appreciated having secure parking for our car.
Communication with the owners was prompt and helpful.
Personal touches such as the welcome message, packets of biscuits and milk for a cuppa made it all the more special.
We highly recommend 2 Brocklehurst Cottages as somewhere to stay when visiting Buxton.

The cottage is tastefully furnished and provides everything you need for a comfortable stay. The bed is comfortable and has quality linen and towels. I liked the toiletries and extra touches which made for an enjoyable stay.
I can't think of anything expect the car parking. We didn't try to get our car into the space provided because there wasn't enough room to turn into the drive for the car park. It wasn't a problem because there was plenty of parking on the adjacent road.

We liked the location and the comfort of the cottage. It was very central and had everything you would need for a nice stay. It was also very clean. Bedding was of really good quality and the bed was also comfortable. It was in a very quiet neighbourhood with relatively close parking just around the corner. It was possible to unload outside the door though so this was no issue.

The property was super clean and really well stocked with amenities; we could have left lots of the stuff we brought at home. The location to town is great and parking is secure. We would stay here again.
The main bedroom really needs a black out blind as the street light in front of the property is on all night and shines through the bottom slats of the current blind straight onto the bed. We found the main bed to be uncomfortable; but that’s a personal thing.

Perfect location.The cottage had a cosy homely feel and was spotlessly clean.The tea,coffee,milk and biscuits were a welcomed touch and the luxury toiletries were an added bonus.We will definitely stay there again,thanks Tim and Sandra.

Such a well equipped cottage where we have quickly relaxed and felt 'at home' . So many details that have been thoughtfully planned and considered. So near to the main attractions in Buxton which is a lovely location and easy to get to the Peak District. Who could ask for more!
The parking was a bit tight in the secure parking area, but thankfully we were able to park on the road around the corner

Thanks for the ice cream in the freezer...the 18th/19th were extremely hot days...wow!
The kitchen utensils might need some TLC: e.g. new kettle as the one in the cottage is rusty, frying pans are scratched. And invest in a proper (sommelier standard) bottle opener ;-)

The cottages have been newly refurbished with a "John Lewis" feel which I liked. Very well equipped kitchen. Patio with table and chairs outside. Lots of nice touches. Coffee, tea, milk, sugar, salt and pepper provided, plus some oil and vinegar. Useful downstairs loo with basin.
