Fabulous spacious and clean. Ideal location for St Pancras King's Cross.

The building is beautiful, with many of the original features intact. It has a relaxed atmosphere and you can imagine its history as a major railway station.
The staff are attententive and make sure you feel at home.
There was an issue with the TV reception. They did their best to fix it but weren't able to. I was given a discount for the inconvenience. Very happy with that.

Beautiful building and great location
Breakfast wasn’t included in the huge price and the actual buffet breakfast was very poor from an offering and service point of view. Save your money and book elsewhere
4.0
Beautiful building, great access to train station. Lovely high ceilings. Lovely details on windows. Breakfast was nice.
Service is not 5 star. Cot not ready although pre booked and confirmed. Architecture of room is great, but otherwise a fairly ordinary hotel room. Turndown service had no chocolates or treats. Chambers Club evening food is fairly average and room is small and gets busy. No feeling of it being a special treat and no effort made for children, unlike other hotels.

Room was very comfy and spacious. Champagne on arrival was a very nice touch. Location was perfect as we needed to catch Eurostar

Beautiful building and surroundings, great location and fantastic staff and service
I requested a twin room for our stay (2 female best friends) when I booked. We were given a double room. When I questioned this and asked for a twin, I was told this wasn’t something I could book, and could only ‘request’ . Whilst this didn’t spoil our visit at all, and we have been friends for over 40 years, so we managed in the room given, I do feel this is a fundamental element of a hotel booking requirement (particularly with consideration of the cost of the stay) This maybe something you could look into.

Excellent location for Eurostar. Beautiful decor and architecture.
Very slow service at breakfast. Staff couldn't find any marmalade! VERY expensive.

it’s architectural history and it’s location. some kind staff in the Chamberland Club.
big impersonal and crowded. some dated furniture carpets.

The main hotel building is wonderful, at all times of the day we were greeted politely by the staff wherever we were in the building. however the room did not meet my expectations. It was just another hotel room. Paint peeling in the bathroom, light inside wardrobe flickering did not boost my confidence about the electrical system.
The room in a newer wing was just an ordinary hotel room, none of the character of the main building. Peeling paint in the bathroom and a flickering light in the wardrobe. Not in my opinion worth the high price paid.

Very clean and wonderful facilities.
It was our wedding night and the room had flowers and balloons in for us.

Beautiful architecture and exceptional breakfast buffet... but would not stay again...
I was so excited to stay a night here before heading off to Paris, so I spent nearly 400 for 1 night as a treat and I have to say I was very disappointed.
Firstly, the room, on first glance, is quite nice but old looking. As I started to inspect it more, I realised there was no full-length mirror, no vanity, and for some reason, there was a strange table and chair set pushed up against an old media wall. It had obviously been planned differently and had been adapted - it was all a bit 'off'. The bathroom was dirty with chipped tiles and dirt in the grout.
The worst thing, though, was when we went to have drinks in the stunning atmosphere and design of the restaurant bar, the waiter began a monologue at us on how he could not afford nice clothes. He told us he doesn't get paid well and it's so expensive living in London. My husband and I were literally being grafted by him for a tip, a sob story to guilt us. The thing was, it was a treat for us. We saved up for an experience and wanted a romantic drink in that beautiful bar... it was so obviously a chugger move by the waiter. I did complain at reception about all of this, and they were quite nonchalant. They said the rooms were going under renovation and apologised for the waiter... just all felt a bit of a tourist trap.

It’s beautiful from the outside but clearly a rip off. Would never stay there again.
Some of the staff a bit snooty. Asked for a nice view (my birthday) paying 700+ dollars for one night (I knew it wouldn’t be in the old area). Receptionist said I had one of the best views, favorite, of some library 🙄. It was ground floor of street & disappointing. Oh well w/only one night & I’m heading to their bar w/family, got a chilly reception & nothing great bar wise but our server made up for it, told him it was my birthday & nice Happy Birthday plate w/cookies came w/our drinks. It did have a great bath tub but few products.

Paying £550 for a room with a broken TV

Location good. Hotel comfortable.
Tv that didn’t work - full English breakfast scrambled eggs v dry, had been hanging around. Sausage very processed. Should have stuck to the buffet. Man on the dining room desk seemed more interested in non resident paying customers. Hand in my face to stop me talking while he attended to them. They arrived after me at the desk!

Perfect for Eurostar travel. Good food and a lovely ambience to enjoy it in. The staff were helpful and a 6am start was no problem.

The hotel is ideally located for a visit to London. The architecture is stunning and the public rooms are beautifully decorated and furnished. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The bedrooms are comfortable and the tea/coffee making facilities are very good, as are the biscuits.
The view from the bedroom was a little disappointing!

After two weeks of traveling around the UK, we wanted to have a little luxury for our last leg......this hotel more than filled that desire. Room was great, the place was stunning and the staff were all very friendly and helpful.
The price.....but you get what you pay for.....

Friendly staff and two beautiful bars/restaurants. Clean and very comfortable room. Would highly recommend, particularly if need access to St Pancras trains/tube.
Spa ceiling could be decorated better but is a minor issue in a generally lovely hotel.

Fabulous Gothic style building with excellent sympathetic refurbishment of the room we were assigned. Plenty of friendly helpful staff. Very good meal in the converted Booking Hall.
The building is a bit of a maze with the main ground floor passage to the rooms apparently in need of refurbishment and improvement.
The promised Roof Terrace was quite a disappointment as it turned out to be on the ground floor sandwiched between buildings at the back of the hotel and completely lacking in any kind of view.

Stunning architecture and stairway, bars, Booking Office restaurant. Harp and piano in entrance coffee area. Location, staff.
Nothing although the stay was very expensive and that was 1 night and sharing a room with my 90 year old mother.
I appreciate that a hotel of this standard will require a lot of maintenance and staffing.
Sadly, the B&B rate of £469 means that we will not be able to visit again for some time to come :-(

the location was fabulous as I was taking the train on the Saturday.
The room I was given was not what I expected for the price. As my flight was delayed and my check in was later than expected, I was given a room which was not what I thought I was getting.
