Wonderful little cottage in the heart of the Peak District. Great base for exploring the walks etc Exceptionally clean, comfy bed!!! And fab gardens.

The location was great. Easy access to all surrounding villages and felt very rural. Lovely setting. The cottage looks great from the outside. The kids loved the pool.

There was a ridiculous amount of wasps. Over 100 as we kept them to show it was an issue. There's clearly a nest in the attick. When owners were told about the wasps they brushed it off and said that they couldn't do anything whilst we were there. My husband and son both got stung in bed during the night. The cottage is dated as we expected from photos but the issue we had is that everywhere was very damp and not cozy at all.

Terrible location under trees and damp.

Virtually under a flyover, traffic noise hurrendous . The property smelt damp and musty. Central heating controlled by owner from his adjoining property. The pool which should have been private and heated was not, that was one of the reasons we went. No smoke or carbon monoxide monitors. It was awful.

The cottage was nice, very cold but it is a old cottage & it has electric heaters in but takes a bit to warm up. owners was very welcoming What am going to say please don’t let it put you off the cottage or owners

I booked this cottage for the pool but on arrival got told the pool is shut. i used booking.com and no where does it state the pool is closed ( opens may to september) like i said i booked it for the pool so the children had nothing to do much had to go to buxton for soft play. just wished i knew because i would of booked somewhere else, it should of been a nice family break after a really tough year putting smiles on the children’s faces for a weekend that’s all i wanted. I do blame booking.com not the owners but the owners should make sure when they advertised with this firms they should make the availability of the pool clear.
