Though its location was in the heart of centre, you can find yourself in the middle of nature, very quite neighborhood 👍🏻
Achtergracht is closely near clubs, coffeeshops,you can find whatever you want. We had a girls’ trip and created a great pleasure time. Very welcoming stuff, clear place and amazing location you will have. Thanks De Munck, see you 🌸

Great location, great host, has backyard outdoor seating, cleaning on demand, spacious bathroom, very affordable.
Only thing its missing is a mini fridge in the room and it would have been the perfect room.

the hotel was lovely. The location is perfect. Central enough to walk everywhere, but out of the busiest streets so it was quiet and peaceful. The staff were really friendly and helpful. We had a great 3 days here.
the only downside was that the single beds in one of the rooms were pretty narrow.

The location was perfect. It was close to transportation, across from a park, and lots of restaurants near by. We enjoyed walking in the neighborhood and found some nice restaurants and coffee shops.
No breakfast was offered and on the booking.com site said that transportation to the airport is included. This was not the case. They did arrange for a driver but we had to pay for it. Disappointed that no breakfast or coffee offered

The breakfast was not included in the price so I didnt do my breakfast there. The location is good, staff are good. Room is small but it is enough. Sometime there was noise of other tourists but lets ok. There is supermarket, cafes, restorants really close to hotel. For metro you need to walk 5-6 min.
My room was in the third floor and the stairs are terrible especially for the luggages.

I liked the front desk service, friendly and willing.
the location 100% convenient, close by almost anything.
no toiletries what’s so ever, only hand soap and shower gel. no iron, the bathroom was so small it didn’t even have a shower curtain. The King bed were two tween beds next to each other, and so noisy outside our door, TOO PRICEY FOR ALL THE INCONVENIENCES.

The facilities were basic but there was everything we needed, more or less - hair dryer, soap etc.
The location was fantastic, and close to a cafe with a fantastic breakfast (the hotel does not do breakfast).
The beds were really comfy, and the room was warm (too warm for my friend, in fact!).
We had to ask for clean towels. There was really nowhere to hang up wet towels, which is why we asked for more. There wasn't a lot of space to put clothes in a room designed for 3 people, though it didn't feel at all cramped.

Location of the hotel is great. It is silent area not far from main tourist places - 10-20minutes of walking. Very friendly staff. A small shop is in the neighbourhood.
No shelfs in the room and hangs in the bathroom. Perhaps due to a low season breakfast was not available, but there are a lot of cafes around. Sound insulation could be better - you can hear walking of guests leaving above.

Value for money was really good. Big room, enough space for two people. Our expectations were rather exceeded since the price was cheaper compared to other accommodations and we were expecting something more casual.
Only thing I can point out is that we had a family staying next door and from time to time we heard baby's crying pretty loud, but it was only a few times so I wouldn't really consider it a shortcoming.

Very friendly staff, well located
It feels more like a hostel than a hotel. Which is fine but it being called Hotel de Munck and for that price, we were expecting more. The floor was dusty and some surfaces sticky and the shower was flooding the bathroom. When we asked for the room to be cleaned (their policy is to just do it on demand, which I like because it's sustainable), only towels and bedsheets were changed and the toilet was cleaned. Still dusty room and sticky surfaces. Defo not how it looks on the pictures and too expensive for what it is.

Really helpful and friendly staff. Changed our room upon request as it was not ideal for our situation.
Very close to public transport and the main areas of Amsterdam.

Absolutely amazing staff and always got what we needed. Location was great and minutes away from all the bars shops and restaurants. Highly recommended and would definitely go to hotel de munck again

Great location. 17 min walk to the museum 'square' ( Rijks Museum, Van Gogh museum, MOCO museum and many many others). Also close to the tram and metro station, @8min away from Rembrand square (lots of bars and a few clubs).
The room was clean and warm.
Poor choices for breakfast. I think they had just cereals and rice crisps, so I would advice not to choose breakfast included options, but rather go to the coffee bars (there are a few of them close by).
