This is a real gem. The owners are so sweet and helpful and will do anything to help guests. The rooms are exceptionally clean, comfortable and full of character. The breakfast was lovely and the dinner was just amazing,the best Gnochhi I’ve ever had! Highly recommend.

It is 20 mins walk from the centre, which is up quite a steep hill on the way home but there is a bus stop outside the hotel which is 3 euro. Great if you have a car as parking in the centre of Menaggio is a nightmare

The staff were brilliant. One of the waitresses spoke very good English which helped me a lot, my Italian is non existent ! The restaurant is lovely, evening meal / breakfast were superb

This is a minor criticism, I had a room overlooking the very busy road. I prefer to have the windows open but the fumes and the noise got too much

Extremely friendly service, the Owner and all the Staff very helpful. The family atmosphere gives character to this fantastic place. Rooms clean, food very good.

The owners & staff were lovely, very helpful and polite. helped us with a fan & EU plug as ours broke. breakfast was good. dinner was lovely when pre booked. always enough sun beds. room was spacious, lovely views, serviced daily

Nothing wrong with the property, only thing was the walk back from Menaggio (all up hill, around 35 mins) only 3 taxi’s in the village, never any when we wante them.

Everything was exceptional - from the room, to the service, to the breakfast, and especially the staff.

A little difficult/far to get into Menaggio, however there are buses and a bike/walk path.

Very friendly and helpful staff, great pool for relaxing, and views of Como and the mountains. They had a nice restaurant too and their tortellini brodo tasted just like my mums traditional recipe! Good location to do hiking in the surrounding mountains too.

Our room was quite basic - the mattress was really hard and it didn't have air-con and it was pretty hot when we were there. Perhaps the more expensive rooms would have been nicer. It didn't feel like great value for money - accommodation in Como is very expensive and this hotel was not really in the budget price range (though not much is budget here). The location of the hotel, although not the hotel's fault, is not ideal if you do not have a car. We relied on taxis to get to/from Menaggio as buses are not that frequent. There's only 3 taxis in the town so it was difficult at times to get a cab and we had to wait an hour or so. You can walk up the hill (35 mins) but it was a bit unclear on the walking path to take and we ended up having to take the road which was busy and felt a bit unsafe.

Parking and location were ok

Breakfast was not adapted to allergies like Celiak. Also; the room itself includes stairs to the bathroom. It was not convenient at all.

Can not say enough great things about Hotel Adler. We stayed in the family suite that sleeps 6. They have 1 room type like this. Family owned and operated. Breakfast and dinner served in the hotel everyday. The breakfast is a traditional European mix of meats, cheeses, cereal and cakes. The dinner is a rotating menu each night and everything is delicious. They have gluten free options if you make them are aware before you arrive.

It is about a 20 minute walk to the lake or a short cab ride. The views from the hotel and the level of service make the walk worth working up an appetite for dinner in the evening.
