on the beach, close to the sea.
room was extremely simple

Historically that area is for divers and snorkelers and still not AllInclusive - so its still about RedSea and is still free from lovers of unlimited cheap alcohol. Also Bedoine Tent restaraunt is still very good (not cheap, but reasonably priced). And there is excellent capyccino+pastrues nearby in next hotel (il Porto cafe, but food there not worth attention).
It is independent hotel with owner-not-so-far-from-business, so, overally service is MUCH better than in large network franchise hotels of Egypt
It was more expensive than Hilton Sharks Bay! The area is logistic trap; taxis in Sharm generally VERY bad service and trying to ask tripple price. Ask reception to call taxi for you.
Nowhere ti buy fruits.
Only place you can reach by feet is SOHO complex (by empty non-lit car road so take torch and thar way is not for solo young female) - out from gates, to the right, not right road into hill to some Sharks Bay hotel but road on left from it).

location- friendly staff- simple and straight forward- great restaurant adjacent
nothing. we loved it. it’s laid back and so sweet

Proximity to the dive boat and great snorkeling right off the beach.

I loved the view from my room. I also liked that it was a private property right on the beach with adequate water sports available
My bathroom. The shower was so tiny and the shower curtain was useless to keep water within the shower tray. Everytime I had my bath, there was literally a pool of water all over the floor

Beautiful location, amazing view, quiet

Very quiet, relaxing, authentic and well designed hotel that indeed looks like a Bedouin or desert village. Buffet breakfast (for us included in room rate) was good for the price we paid. Food in general was very tasty. Enough activities available to keep you occupied. Comfortable beds. Big rooms, all with balcony and sea view. Good food and reasonably priced restaurant. Overall I would recommend it if you don't plan an extended stay and just want to relax on a small budget. I would go back without hesitating.
Outside the hotel not much to see or do, except for a 20 minutes walk to Soho Square.
Cleaning could be better. The bed sheets were clean, but the duvet cover looked a bit scruffy and had a stain on it, which looked like paint or something. The bathroom was a good size, but the shower basin (+ curtain) small. Constantly struggled trying to keep the shower curtain away while showering.

Amazing architecture! It truly was a sight to behold. We arrived really late at night due to a flight delay and the reception still greeted us kindly and gave us a room with a balcony. The balcony had an amazing view over the ocean. It truly was a little village, with small shops and a couple of restaurants. Umbi is right on the ocean and even if you don't go diving, snorkeling is definitely worth trying with amazing views right in front of you. We felt like we were staying in a magical castle. The breakfast was good and there were a lot of kittens who also enjoyed the occasional piece of cheese or ham. Very friendly staff. Not at all a resort vibe, although there was no shortage on luxuries.
4.5
Wonderful place to relax. Not only for diving buddies. Calm and beautiful environment, great food at the restaurant. The room was big and comfortable and I could enjoy the sunrise from the balcony even it wasn't on the highest level.
Great breakfast.
Recommended it.

I would like to thank the manager at the front desk - Refat. He is a very good and kind person, when we met they joked about sharks. We asked Refat to call a taxi to the airport when a relative needed to fly away, Refat warned us so that we would warn him in advance until 23-30 hours, we hesitated and forgot and came with the collected things at 00-15. It's good that Refat was there at the Reception. He called a taxi for us, and my relative arrived at the airport on time.
When I needed to fly away, I asked the refat where I can buy or if he has an adhesive tape to wrap a backpack for baggage drop-off at the airport, I will pay for this tape. Refat said - Just wrap your backpack, you don't have to pay for anything, I clarified that I need an adhesive tape to wrap it at the airport, so where can I buy this tape. Refat went somewhere and brought me a brand new scotch tape so I could wrap my luggage at the airport! At night Refat called a taxi for me to the airport and we said goodbye. Many thanks to Refat for their responsiveness, kindness and help!
Welcome water is issued on the day of arrival, in the future you will need to buy it either in a shop right on the beach (regular prices are like everywhere else) or go up the mountain a little and buy it in a small shop next to the gas station. But! You can walk (15 minutes) or take a taxi in 3-4 minutes to Soho! Where there are many people and shops that work until the morning, including supermarkets!

The breakfast is really good, the only thing that exceeded our expectations. Location is good if you go diving in the Strait of Tiran.
The room (beach cabin) is quite old and a bit unmaintained. Bathroom fixtures are old and rusty. Staff is rude, the guy checking us in slammed the door for not tipping him.

The pick up arranged was great. The driver was waiting for us, first in the line, with a clearly marked sign. There was a very large breakfast with many food options. The rooms were spacious and comfortable.
The location is spectacular. The sunrises that you see from the room were amazing. The dive shop connected to the hotel is exceptional. The food and comfort on the dive boats was excellent.
The manager in the office is extremely helpful. He arranged our covid PCR tests and even had our results picked up for us! He also arranged all our taxi needs, including a 3am pick up for the airport.
I would have liked a chair in our room. I also would have liked better lighting in the bathroom. Our room didn't have a balcony so it would have been nice to have somewhere in the room to hang wet clothes. I think the onsite restaurants could have improved menus but the breakfast was excellent.

- We had to checkin at 4 AM in the night and their manager was nothing but helpful, even if sleepy.
- The room was big with a nice view. The design of the buildings was wonderful, specific to Egypt.
- The beach was nice and big, has a lot of stores, drinks and eating zones, shops for groceries, etc.
- The morning breakfast was good, open buffet.
- The check-out offered a very cheap taxi.
- The rest of the staff doesn't speak English almost at all, might be a little inconvenient sometimes but still they try to be helpful.

At the time of my stay the wifi was not working in my room.
The location is great, the staff are helpful and friendly, the hotel has a traditional and relaxed atmosphere. Breakfast was not the traditional continental but with Egyptian influences like their delicious bread and ful medames
As a single woman I felt safe and respected.
Hotel has its own beach with a restaurant, a little supermarket for drinks and snacks, and tourist day trips all meters from the beach.
At the time of my stay the wifi was not working in my room.

Really amazing place, everything is simple, but great !!! Starting from the building itself which is built on a mountainside and has rooms with a balcony most of which face a view of the Red Sea and opposite you can see the island of Snapir. Stunning!!! The hospitality in this place in Shark Bay, is truly extraordinary, under the amazing management of the amazing person named umbarak (in my opinion he is 70+ year old) who still works and does for the guests as one of the workers working under him. Already at the reception office (check in)- we received excellent service from Mr. Rifat who went out of his way and gave us several options to choose a room that would satisfy us. In the end we chose a room with an amazing view of the sea No. 306.
Breakfast is rich and very tasty and includes: pitas, long buns and round rolls, vegetables of all kinds to make a very rich salad, black and green olives, yogurts of all kinds, several types of sausages + hot dogs, yellow cheeses of several types, salty white goat cheese With a very delicate texture cut into cubes, as well as a personal stand where a chef stands and prepares omelets or eggs in a custom assembly, this position also has hot beans, hot mushrooms, hot potato pie and everything is plentiful and with a smile. In conclusion: a glorious and very delicious breakfast !! ! Simple but the most delicious in the world !!! A winning taste !!!
Now I come to tell you about the best thing about the place: the umbi diving club !!! - A paradise for divers !!! Already when I first arrived at the club counter I was greeted with a smile by Mrs. Loly (Dutch in origin), who runs the club diving at umbi. Loly Explained to me at in clear and fluent English about the many options regarding the dives (with my equipment, with rented equipment from the club, dives from the beach, one-day dives + lunch from the club ship ... and more) as well as the great prices of the place.
