The hotel is in a wonderful location with amazing views of the mountains.It is a lovely period buildingGordon the host was lovely and helpful and we had lots of chats.Everything was spotlessly clean and attractive.Food was perfect and laid out nicely.Lovely breakfast with loads of choice.The hotel is in a very good central location to visit most areas of WalesI stayed for 8 days and cannot think of anything I didn’t like.A really lovely place.Thanks Gordon🙂

The breakfast was excellent. The bedroom cramped but very comfortable bed.

There is a very pleasant resident's lounge which was firmly shut. If you wished to read the only place was the bedroom. As the gwesty was fully booked I found this surprising., and not very welcoming.

WiFi but you are at the bottom of a gigantic mountain a tv in room could be a good idea

Breakfast was brilliant, fresh ingredients, well cooked and presented! Fresh milk from the cows on site! Only thing was your allowed one cup of coffee, I asked for another and the owner looked at me and blanked the question, no coffee turned up! Location is beautiful in the mountains.

No tv in rooms, old radio didn’t work. Room needed dusting and cleaning as owner said he leaves rooms empty for a period of time between guests. I had cobwebs and spiders in all corners and shower unit in morning had webs across it with spiders. It’s an old house so expected but if it had been recently hoovered and dusted it would have not been this bad. That said sheets were all clean and generally clean room. Family stayed in another room and the beds apparently were creaking and old spring type mattress so uncomfortable. Owner also gave us an 11pm curfew and said our key would not open the front door, not offered option of if we did want to stay out longer. The man who owns it also watched us every time we left or came back to room, felt slightly uncomfortable.

All good. A little dated, but clean and comfortable. Nice breakfast.

As the hotel nestles in the foothills of Cader Idris the location is second to none! The hotel is a very sweet old cottagy house with a snug bar and lovely dining room. There is also outdoor seating in front of a superlative view where you can enjoy a drink or food. The staff, especially the owner, are wonderfully warm, funny and welcoming.

Perfect place to relax in after walking up/down Cader Idris. Replenished with a wholesome evening meal and a quiet, deep sleep. I also enjoyed chatting with the owners who were both very friendly indeed. And topped off with a fulfilling full English breakfast before check out.
