The location is great the views unbeatable

The service of the hotel staff was not great there was one woman that seemed to like her job the other server was or seemed very interested in being elsewhere Paying the price for the hotel which was not cheap it ruins the experience when you have to deal with unhappy staff so therefore will not recommend or be back

Die Lage des Hotels ist super schön und der Ausblick ein Traum. Es gab immer genug freie Liegen an den beiden Pools. Das Hotel ist wirklich schön gestaltet, wenn auch etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Das Essen hat uns immer gut geschmeckt, es gab eine Menge Auswahl und es war für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis beim Essen und den Getränken war vollkommen in Ordnung. Die Zimmerreinigung war auch wirklich gut, obwohl sie an Tag 1 einfach mal ausgefallen ist.

Unser Zimmer hatte leider keine Sitzecke und das französische Doppelbett war 1,20 m breit. Wir schliefen dann getrennt, zum Glück war noch ein Einzelbett im Zimmer. Hervorzuheben ist leider der wirklich unterirdische Service. Es macht den Eindruck, als wäre jede Bestellung eine Störung des Personals. Auf ein Dankeschön erfolgt keine Antwort und oft wird genervt gestöhnt, wenn man bestellen möchte. Das Personal wirkt extremst lustlos und macht auch schon mal ein Nickerchen an der Bar. Essensbestellungen dauern immer 1 Stunde, das kriegt man allerdings schon beim Check-In mitgeteilt. Das Geschirr - gerade Tassen und Gläser - waren oft dreckig. Da mein Spanisch nicht das Beste ist, war die Verständigung manchmal schwierig. Was vollkommen in Ordnung ist, da darauf in der Hotelbeschreibung hingewiesen wird. Man gibt sich aber meines Erachtens auch überhaupt keine Mühe. Die Krönung war dann der Check-Out, leider hatte ich auch hier wieder die Frage nicht verstanden. Doch nach fast fünf Tagen vor Ort holt die Dame plötzlich ein Handy raus und tippt die Frage in die Übersetzungs-App. Es war die Frage, ob ich Trinkgeld für den Service geben möchte. Wirklich bedauerlich, dass das nie funktionierte, sondern nur in diesem Moment. Wir kommen definitiv nicht wieder.

La atencion si bien es siempre con cordialidad, habia falta de personal, falta de proactividad, no sugerían cuando uno les preguntaba sobre la zona de las playas o cuando uno preguntaba sobre los platos de comida.

The views, beach and pool were unmatched but the staff was incredible; everyone was so professional and friendly.

Amazing location, bedroom (AC, view, etc.), and food.

It’s in an amazing location, the sound of the ocean is incredible, and Tayrona National park entrance only 10 minutes away. The food is good, the rooms very comfortable and the hotel itself beautiful with several lovely pools

There is absolutely no atmosphere. The staff have no friendliness about them. Everything is delivered so slowly and there is no soul to the hotel. It’s all too quite. So you don’t get a sense of warmth and caring

Location and peacefulness

You can't beat the views at Hotel Casa Barlovento. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The breakfasts are yummy with quite a few options. The pool was clean and refreshing!

Potential guests should know that there are about 60 steps that lead up to the hotel. This would not be a good hotel for someone with limited mobility. The staff is very helpful and will carry your bags but the handrail is not super accessible and the steps are of different heights. We had one dinner that we did not like at all. We had to wait almost 2 hours for the food to be served and it was not as described.
