Dog friendly, great host in Kate who couldn’t do enough for us. The breakfast was really nice with food from the local area. We have already booked to come back in a few months.

Fantastic visit from start to finish. We felt at home from the moment we arrived. The thing that will really stay with me is how welcoming they were of not just us, but our little dog, who loved every second of her holiday as much as we did ☺️

Such a lovely place to stay, great location and the host thinks of absolutely everything, a perfect 2 nights stay, would love to stay again in the future

They were able to cater for me . I’m coeliac and lactose free and I felt safe to eat there due to their knowledge of my condition. The cereal with the apple juice soaked fruit was delicious as was the breakfast. My husband enjoyed the cake that was provided fresh each day.

This was our second time staying & it was equally as good as the first. The host is wonderful and remembered us from the first time we stayed. The location is fab, a great walking distance to many walks & mountains if that’s what you’re looking for but also it’s easy by foot to get to the local pub and restaurant ect.. the rooms have everything you need and if it doesn’t, I’m sure if you ask the host, she will do her best to accommodate your needs. The maples bank is built for walkers and dogs, we don’t have dogs (yet) but the attention to detail is brilliant. From fresh cakes to take on your walks, foot gel for your feet afterwards, newspaper stacks for your boots and many great breakfast choices to start your day off right! We love it here, we’ll definitely be back soon ☺️

Very cosy, well presented, clean and welcoming with all the facilities we needed, especially for the dog. The host Kate was very welcoming and accommodating. The breakfasts were also excellent. Easy parking at the property. Would definitely come back.

The location was great for us as a base to explore the lake district.

Fabulous vegetarian and vegan breakfast. Kate provided cake in the afternoon.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. Clean and well eqipped with games, books and maps. Our dog was welcome.... the place is very dog friendly. Really nice breakfast with plenty of options. Great location, couple of pubs, a cafe and village shop within a 10 - 15 minute walk and Keswick is 35 - 40 minute walk away (or there is a bus service from pretty much out the front of the B&B). Loads of walks and attractions nearby.

The rooms were comfortable and had everything you needed. Plenty of Parking. Breakfast was WOW… and had plenty of choice. Kate gave us advice on where to visit and eat. Everyone was friendly.

Very friendly and welcoming owner. Great food. Great facilities.

The staff everyone was so friendly and welcoming we have a very big dog that came with us and Kate and Fiona run the extra mile for him to be also happy and comfortable.

The property is very close to a busy road and it did get a bit loud some times.

The location close to Kendal, Cockermouth and surrounding areas. The property was stunning. Breakfast, well you have choice of menu with specials, cooked to your liking.😁
