Nice place to stay. Half way between Yellowstone and Cody. Our stay was in July, it was hot and could have used better air conditioning. The basement was alsway nice and cool. There was 10 of us on motorcycles. The driveway was maintained and navagable. The size of the dining table and living room was great. Had fun when it was time to eat.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Pond House. The house was spacious (6 bedrooms), clean and comfortable. The host gave great recommendations for places to visit and dine in the area.

Everything was perfect! Clean, comfortable, charming. Yvonne and Doug were very helpful. We were busy during the days and it was always so relaxing to return to our "home". Thank you for such a lovely first trip to Wyoming!

We had an amazing stay here. The house was clean and in a perfect location to go between Yellowstone National Park and Cody. We enjoyed seeing all of the wildlife and the owners are very helpful. We hope to be back soon.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Wapiti! The cabin is convenient to both Cody and Yellowstone so there was lots to see and do. If we didn’t feel like going out, we hiked around the cabin and it is absolutely breathtaking. We chose this property mainly because each of our four grown kids each wanted their own bedroom. We even had one to spare. The place is clean and cozy. Doug and Yvonne took really great care of us. They are wonderful hosts! They made our stay special and we appreciate all the detail (new kitchen brush and sponge for our visit) and hard work they put into making our vacation perfect. Thanks! We hope to come back one day with more family members. 😁

Awesome!
Great space with three bathrooms (very rare to have more than one bathroom in this area). Very clean. Very responsive hosts that gave us great advice on things to do in the area. Views/scenery were spectacular. Really liked staying between Cody and YNP, very convenient. No true AC, but fans in bedrooms. Still need to open windows up for some breeze.

Yellowstone 2022
We spent 5 wonderful days at this home. The hosts were just awesome with their suggestions. The home was exactly what we needed for our group with persons from 10 to 70. We were so happy to find this place on the VRBO listing. Only low note was that we didn't get to spend as much time in the house during the evening as we would have liked. We kept ourselves too busy. Perfect accomodations for our family. Thank you!

Amazing vacation experience
Breathtaking views of mountain ranges front and back. Our family and friends had a great time at this property. Easy drive to Yellowstone and easy the other way into Cody, Wy. The owners were wonderful and kind. We couldn't recommend this property more.

Home away from Home
If you want to get away from it all, the Pond House is the perfect place to be! Six friends enjoyed the quiet location and the house is roomy and very comfortable! We didn't get to meet Yvonne in person but, did get to meet her husband Doug, who had lots of great information to share. We highly recommend this vacation home!! Thanks folks for a great time..... Amazing property!!
Awesome hospitality and the view and cabin were perfect! Went hiking on the property which was great with a family of 8. The Pond house was more then big enough for all of us! Price is great and more reasonable then others we looked at. Fully stocked with everything you need! Thanks for everything and our trip was amazing!

Relaxing and Comfortable
The property was extremely clean. Property was easy to find, perfect location for our travel to Yellowstone and overall perfect for our family. Room enough for each teen to have their own room and so relaxing. We only had to bring our own food and everything else was provided which made our stay that much better and easy to pack when traveling across country.

The Pond House was everything we expected and more. Our family loved the house, location and the history behind it. Doug and Yvonne were great hosts and we would highly recommend staying here if you have the opportunity.

Peaceful Ranch
We loved our stay at the Pond Cabin!! It was very clean, peaceful, and a beautiful area. My favorite part will always be our visits from owner Doug!! I even had my picture taken with him. He is the sweetest, funny, knowledgeable, man!! I always looked forward to seeing him. He was always giving us information which we greatly appreciated. If you get the chance to stay at one of their cabins please do it. You wont be disappointed. we hope to go back in a year or so.

Land of a thousand views!
We loved our time at the Pond House, and only wish we could have stayed longer! The house is in a beautiful, quiet location with stunning views all around. The house was very clean and well stocked with all the basics. The house is in a remote but easily accessible location for visiting Cody and of course Yellowstone. Doug and Yvonne are very attentive and kind hosts and made sure we lacked for nothing. Looking forward to staying here again in the future!

Family vacation
The house was very beautiful with a great view of mountains and stars. The owners greates us and we’re very friendly and helpful. Lots of suggestions of things to do during our stay. We would use them again if we return.

Perfect house in a lovely setting
We had a great vacation at the Wapiti Valley Ranch. The house is located on beautiful land and we enjoyed the views. It is convenient to the Yellowstone east entrance (about a 40 minute drive). We went there several times on our trip. It is closer to Cody, Wy, a cute town with attractions of its own. The house was immaculately clean and more than spacious for our family of five. Two families or a larger family could be comfortable there. Doug and Yvonne were the most gracious and hospitable hosts. They live nearby and were readily available if needed. Doug gave us several ideas of things to do in the area. We highly recommend!

Beautiful Mountain View’s and Lots of Room
This is a great property located between Cody, Wyoming and the East Gate of Yellowstone. Yvonne was very friendly and accommodating. It was really nice that she stopped by to say hello and make sure that we had everything that we needed. The house was very clean with lots of sleeping options. There are two “living rooms” which allowed for separate space for couples or families traveling together. Kitchen was minimally supplied but adequate (no salt and only a little pepper and cookware was basic). It fit our needs and we would definitely consider a return stay.

Secluded Cabin with Lots of Room
Enjoyable stay at Doug and Yvonne’s Pond Cabin in Wapiti. The owners were hospitable and provided us with useful information for our stay. The Cabin has a nice layout for visiting and dining with family. The drive from Cody to the Pond House was interesting as well as the drive from the cabin to Yellowstone’s East entrance. Thanks for a memorable stay.

Perfect fit
We absolutely were impressed by the log home and the unbelievable view. The size of the house was perfect for our group and everybody was able to spread out and relax. I would very much recommend this to anyone traveling to Yellowstone. Yvonne and Doug were very receptive and kind.
