The hotel was more or less okay. The building itself and the halls with furniture reminded me of great historical hotels, but it also felt a bit like a retirement home. The pool was nice, but it was closed at 8 p.m. The location was a bit far from the center, but it was okay with a taxi. Breakfast was ok, but nothing special.
We did not get some of the rooms we requested with double beds, as those were only available if they happened to be available on that day. Some of our rooms were next to the main entrance, where lots of people were smoking right next to the window, so it was not possible to open windows and not even curtains.

This was an ideal location to catch the connecting port bus to the Tangiers ferry at Tarifa. It is a fascinating hotel as it has so much history (Winston Churchill and various dignitaries have visited) and staying here makes you feel as if you are in a time capsule. Beautiful reception rooms, bars, huge grounds, a fabulous pool with 1950s poolside bar and a terrace.
It felt a little empty and the food options were quite limited in the evening. Buffet breakfast a bit tired too. Felt it was once extremely glamorous but was now a little bit dated and over formal. Wished that the pool was open longer i.e for an early morning swim.

It is a beautiful hotel near the port of Algeciras. It is a large property and has a pool which is nice for those who don't like to swim in the ocean. The staff were super helpful, which I did appreciate very much. There was a huge buffet that offered different choices.
The bed was a bit uncomfortable and it was hard to sleep. The breakfast was ample but many of the HOT items were cold. It is a bit far from the centre and taxis are a bit expensive in Algeciras.

This place was a hidden gem. Hotel Reina Cristina is affordable, but beautiful. It's like a Manor House with olde worlde charm. Gorgeous interiors, spacious rooms, two swimming pools. Close walk to things to see and do: the market place, Plaza Alta, Parc Maria Cristina. A longer walk up the hill to the old aqueduct. It's also a quick trip to Gibraltar for the day.
Nothing. I wish we had stayed longer.

Beautiful historic grounds. Perfectly located near the port for ferry rides to morocco

We ended up staying here two nights as all ferries to Morocco were cancelled due to gales when we reached Algeciras. The staff were very helpful in sorting out the extra night and printing out boarding passes for the flight we took from Malaga instead of hoping the ferry might run - it was still very windy the second day so it probably didn't. Nice old-style (meant in a good way) hotel, convenient for train station and ferry terminal.
Nothing to complain about really.

The hotel is very beautiful with nice garden, outdoor and indoor pools and free huge parking. The room was big and has a nice balcony with pleasant view. The breakfast was good - wide choice. WiFi signal was strong everywhere.
No enough outlets in the room. Very small refrigerator.

The room was large and the hotel lookedcdelightful
Stained carpets everywhere on floor 2.
Hard beds.
Loo door wouldn’t shut— room 206
Dinner was cold and unappetizing, breakfast was no better, eggs cooked for ever, grilled “bacon” that was dry and not pleasant

the staff were welcoming and attentive
This is not a four star hotel. there were stains all over the carpets throughout the hotel, the wifi only worked in the lobby, the bed was extremely uncomfortable and in general the hotel was dated and worn out. Fir example, chunks of paint had come away from the walls. There was no restaurant open to eat at and the bathroom smelt like sewage so much so we had to keep the window open all night as the room became overwhelming from the smell.

Nice big comfortable bedroom v friendly staff
No WiFi in room, very little anywhere. Dinner v good, breakfast disappointing, overpriced, coffee and tea horrible. Surprise as we had been there before.

i was only two nights for work here, saw the hotel only in the evening hours - area looks quite nice but hrs to judge from this visit
i asked on my leaving das to have breakfast earlier than normal (07:00) but the staff refused, even is most of the food was already in place and only asked to eat what is already available

The location was spectacular! I loved the old charm and history of the hotel and I could not have asked for a better view of the Port and Mediterranean Sea. I most appreciated the grab bar that was installed in the shower. Excellent!
The room could use two chairs instead of one as it was difficult to have anice sit down face to face conversation with my traveling companion with only one chair in the room. The shower/Tub needed à non slip serface, but the grab bar sure did help!

Good location, friendly staff, good breakfast selection, set on a large green space, interior of main building is nice to look at
This place was obviously something special in its heyday but now it’s just a filthy, depressing shadow of its former self. In my room, which was by the pool, a combination of poor maintenance and lack of cleaning made the space physically unpleasant to be in. The toilet ran constantly. The shower faucet wouldn’t stay in place. There are holes in the tub that were patched but never painted. There is black mold everywhere, as well as other people’s hair. The light is cool white and makes the room look industrial. There were bugs squished into the walls, and years of dust built up on the furniture. The grounds are not tidy, the most convenient gate for pedestrians is locked, they charge you a deposit for the privilege of borrowing a beach towel, and the rooms in the 400s are tucked away by the back door where staff clear out bottles and trash after midnight.

Conveniently located not too far from the port. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The hotel has nice social spaces and a pleasant garden. We arrived and left when the swimming pool was closed.

not what is expected for a 4 star hotel. shampoo dispenser did not work. uncomfortable beds. it is located in a beautiful garden
uncomfortable beds- I asked for double or queen bed and was given two small beds. very noisy- there was some kind of religious gathering with priests singing very loudly

Everything was lovely, perhaps needs an update on something’s but for comfort and value for money the hotel met all our needs.

We loved this place! It has a lovely old-school colonial feel to it, and is a real oasis in a world of very samey, sometimes-over-polished, boutique hotels and chain hotels.
Nothing.

Beautiful hotel, wonderful staff, excellent location. Food was very good both breakfast and dinner. Room was very large with large bathroom and roomy balcony. It felt like a step back in time with the large number of fully draped windows and high ceilings. Furnishings and wardrobe were stunning and appropriate to the feel of the hotel. Bartender and bar were extremely nice. It was too cold to use the pool but it looked lovely and well kept.
Weak air conditioning and no screens on the large number of windows in the room (mosquitos).

Amazing big room with balcony, very clean. Lovely pool with sun loungers and grassy area.
Bathroom soap and body wash had almost run out when I checked in. Food was ok but nothing special for the price.
