Great location directly on the beach in a lively Dakar neighbourhood. Excellent restaurant with good fish, and others a short walk away. Staff friendly and helpful, able to arrange cool day trips at an affordable rate and at fairly short notice, as well as direct transfer to the Isle of Ngor

Difficult if you don't speak french if you need a particular kind of help (by no means impossible). Location is rather far from major sights in Dakar (though to be fair, they are all quite far from one-another). Place is probably quite old and while taken good care of, could probably use some renovations quite soon

The was squeaking in the room we stayed in.

The location was very near to my work, the food was more than amazing , the staff were very very frindly, khalil was always with me, helping me in everything, Marie, bamba, yousso, mahmdou, every one there I don't want to forget anyone. I would love to thank Khalil a lot for being very helpful and I am looking forword to vist Dakar again just for La cabane du pecheur. Love you all!

Nothing, really nothing all was more than amazing

Very friendly evening staff. Close to the beach. Reasonable price for the location.

Wi-Fi is virtually non-functional both in the room and the lobby area. I had to leave for a coffee shop every day to work. This never improved. The small beach in front is nice, but basically unusable because there are never ending football practices going on with 30-40 players running end-to-end constantly throughout the day and evening. This never stops except at night. There is no place to sit and relax. Honestly it would be easier to relax in the middle of a field during an actual football game because a real field is bigger and there are fewer players on it. This is not an exaggeration. I suppose the beach is public and the hotel has no control over this, but it certainly detracts from the experience. No ATM in the area. it’s about 20 minutes walk to a working ATM.

A great place to unwind watching kids play soccer on the beach in Ngor. The restaurant is top notch and the boat to Ngor Island is 50m down the beach. The staff was very helpful.

Ignore the pushy guys on the beach

The staff was very friendly and helpful. We asked them how much things usually cost in dakar and how to travel around Senegal and they gave us nice infos. It is right at a very lively beach, people do sports in the morning and evening, it was very chill. The pirogue to ile de ngor departs from there and is a lovely day trip to enjoy the beaches there. Also downtown Dakar you can reach easily by Taxi (Plateau etc), but you have to negociate with the taxi drivers, it should not cost more then 5000 cfa.

It is a nice place but Dakar is generally expensive. So for the city it is good value for money even if it more then we (couple of friends backpacking) usually would like to spend.

Great location, clean room, amazing food!

A perfect spot just outside of the main Dakar. We got one of the more expensive rooms with view of the beach and gorgeous water way to Ngor island. Every morning and late night, locals would do wrestling practice just outside the hotel, which brought some non-touristy vibes to the experience. The staff was extremely helpful in finding a local cleaner so we could get some clean clothes, but weren't really knowledgeable of the local bus routes, which almost cost us a travel day. But the room itself, the view, vibe and definitely food in the restaurant, made it a very good stay.

We asked the staff about the local Dem Dikk busses, and didn't get a correct answer, which almost cost us a full travel day. (You should definitely buy your ticket online several days before you want to leave, and do not need to be there more than 20 minutes before).

Great stay as always, room is quiet, clean and comfortable. Central convenient location, excellent food and friendly staff, highly recommend

Very Cozy and Comfy hotel right on the beach, Fantastic Location in front of the Ngor Island, very nice staff.

Amazing location directly on the beach. My room had the view on the beach. The food was good and the possibility to have dinner on the beach is an added value.

My room wasn't particularly nice as pretty poorly decorated.
