The bed was reasonably comfortable and the location was very good.

Terrible in terms of value for money. Under-staffed to the extent that reception was completely unmanned for large parts of the evening and night. Noone to contact when the bar and reception were closed. Breakfast was fine but basic for the cost of the room. Clearly needs a big shake up in terms of needing to have enough staff in place and to improve overall standard. Would not recommend as it is.

Location is great staff were fab.

Bathroom was a little tired could do with an upgrade.

brilliant location and lovely view over the sea

what I had booked through booking was not available at the hotel but they didn’t tell me this just put us into a smaller room and only confessed when I questioned it. the room we were allocated hadn’t been cleaned properly and the double bed was two twins that fully separated in the night. the hotel were very accommodating at giving me a full refund for all the issues and we went and stayed elsewhere

The staff were all extremely pleasant, courteous and efficient which made our stay very relaxing. Although we had booked a small room we were pleasantly surprised to have been upgraded to a much larger one and the bed was especially comfortable. The hotel is in an excellent location just across from the golf course and with great views. There is an abundance of free parking outside and the hotel has it's own residents car park at the rear.

The Hotel's car park is quite difficult to find and there were no obvious instructions on how to get there ahead of our stay.

The room was very clean and comfortable, but could do with refreshing the decor. Breakfast was excellent, and the views were stunning

The wifi did not reach to the 3rd floor, but I believe they plan to address that

Accommodation a little tired and dated. Understand it is closing soon for a full refurbishment. It will be amazing when completed.

After 9pm there was no food available, unfortunate when one arrives late.

I loved the staff. You couldn't do enough to help. I also loved the charm of the rooms. If there was a problem, it was sorted no problem.

Although the rooms do need an update, the rooms could not hide the charm.

Decor was faded, peeling and pictures used to hide holes in the walls. The window sill was bare MDF. The TV didn’t work. The double room was very small. The whole atmosphere in the room was gloomy. Couldn’t wait to leave.

It is a great location, rooms are spacious, we had a nice view. The hotel could offer more (and make more money)

Lovely hotel, in a fantastic location

Not cheap, but it is St Andrews.

We liked the room and its comfort very much although the price per night was more thn we had met before.

The breakfast was, in our view, greatl;y overpriced at (an annoying) £19.95 per person. My favourite muesli and natural yoghurt I was unable to find. The cold meat looked poor. The hot food was fine and the choice reasonable. A very small choice of juice, only orange and apple. We had to get our own tea and coffee. Small teapots instead of small cups would have avoided getting up 2 or 3 times and wasting a teabag (unless we reused it which I did). When we arrived there was no staff in sight and we waited a bit of time until what seemed only one member of staff was on duty. He was very helpful however. There could be reasons for this but we did not feel this breakfast was worth £19.95 and we have travelled extensively using hotels over many years. Pity as we loved the hotel itself.

Breakfast choice very poor.

Incredibly friendly staff welcomed us and dealt with breakfast and dinner. We had just paid double this to stay at a different hotel and receive appalling food and service so this rekindled the Faith. Breakfast was superb and the choice of dinner downstairs catered for a variety of taste. We were upgraded and the rooms were spotless. My daughter was over the moon at the lack of plastic. Fabulous stay

Location and Staff were excellent.

Room needed repairs. Bathroom was out dated and the wallpaper was falling off the wall. Room was hot with no A/C and the windows didn’t open.
