From the moment of making the booking, our experience with Tim our host was so helpful and welcoming, the apartment was meticulousy clean and the decor very tasteful. A warm cosy feel with thoughtful little chocolate treats and bread, cereal and milk provided for breakfast. With just a short walk along the canal to get to the main shops and the shambles in York. Tim kindly provided us with recommendations of places to drink and eat, of which we can personally recommend The Whippet Inn for excellent steaks and service and Malmaison Hotel Sora Sky Bar for the small plates menu and the amazing panoramic view of York. Well worth the trip, we can't recommend our stay enough!

can’t think of any negative points

The apartment was 10 minutes walk from the city however it was very quiet in the apartment. There was secure free parking which was a huge bonus for the city of york. The apartment was amazing & the interior design was very tastefully decorated. Everything was of a high standard. Tim & Michelle were great hosts leaving us a note saying that they hoped that we enjoyed our stay. They also left bread,milk, chocolates, fresh flowers , & good quality toiletries just to name a few welcome gifts. One of the highlights for me was sitting on the window seat & seeing 2 swans gliding by on the river with 6 cygnets following behind. It was obvious that Tim & Michelle worked hard & take great care to make sure that their visitors enjoy the surroundings & comfort of this beautiful apartment. Thank you for making our stay feel extra special for my partners 82nd birthday. I would recommend %100 to friends & family.

quirky, clean, warm near York centre

Tim met us at the apartment which was delightful with probably one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. Great guy, couldn't do enough for us. We mentioned we fancied Tapas for an evening meal and he recommended Ambiente on Fossgate, absolutely superb and only a 5 minute walk. Highly recommended and we will be back!

A wonderful apartment, cosy and quirky. So comfortable. A thoughtful food pack of milk, bread and everything you need to make a drink and breakfast was a lovely touch.

Lovely, cosy apartment. We couldn’t get over how quiet it was, the only noise we heard were from the ducks outside. Tim was the perfect host and there were lots of nice welcome goodies. Perfect location too, only a short walk from the town centre. I would highly recommend Cocoa Isabella and look forward to returning. 😁
