This is a fabulous home away from home for a family vacation. The house is warm and inviting with plenty of room to relax after a day of exploring Acadia National Park. It is close to downtown Bar Harbor and the entrance to Acadia.

This was a great house from which to explore both Bar Harbor and Acadia. The kitchen/dining room setup was ideal and allowed our large family to eat together every evening. Can’t wait to return!

A great space and a great host. There were problems that we ran into but were helped to be solved by our host. It is very close to Acadia but you still probably need to drive and not quite walkable to Bar Harbor but all in all a happy medium. The host is very kind and communicative but the house could be cleaner and more looked after. If there was more local guidance provided (favorite places to eat, to go, etc) that would be appreciated by guests.

This house had lots of space for our family of ten, with attractively furnished rooms and a big, well-equipped kitchen. The location is close (hikable) to town and to park entrances. It is very close to Eagle Lake road, which has heavy traffic of buses, trucks, and cars. We had to close the windows and run the window a/c units in order to sleep. We weren't able to lock the french doors and felt uneasy about leaving the house unsecured when we were away for long periods. During our week there was major construction at a house that shares the property, with trucks and workers parked on the yard, so we had noise and lack of privacy on that side as well. Overall, our family had a happy week together seeing Acadia.

This home was perfect for our extended family, including a couple of dogs, to gather for the Thanksgiving Holiday. We love to cook! Roasting our turkey, preparing sides and baking pies with the Viking stove/oven was awesome. Plenty of room for everyone to find some down time. Close enough to town for morning sunrise walk on the Shore Path and Black Friday shopping. We also saw many trails in walking distance to the house but did not have enough time to venture on to them. The lit tree in the third floor lookout added a festive touch. Joseph was very responsive to a minor television matter and had it up and going without delay. We would definitely return!

Great house for our friends! Lots of comfortable space for everyone! Easy to get into the park and town. We sat outside most nights and used the fire pit. The fire pit needs to be replaced.

Wonderful visit to Bar Harbor and Acadia
My group of 7 friends and dogs thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kebo Cottage. Joseph is a terrific host and responded to all of our questions about biking, lobsters, and coffee pots. The location of the "cottage" is PERFECT for getting quickly to Acadia as well as into Bar Harbor. We had so much space we could not use all of the rooms in the home. We enjoyed daily coffee on the back deck and having a spacious area to walk dogs for potty breaks was a great feature. I have already started recommending this home to friends who are looking to travel to the area. Thank you Joseph for sharing your home with us!

The house was more then adequate for our family. They were a pet friendly host/home and our golden doodle says thank you for hosting me as well. Great location for all activities in Bar Harbor and Acadia. It made for a vacation full of memorirs

The property was perfectly situated - not too far from the downtown area but far enough away that we did not run into any traffic issues. Travel to Acadia Park was a breeze from our location. The grounds of the property were beautiful as well. All in all, we had a fantastic experience staying at this property. Would highly recommend!

Great property!
The house worked out really well for our group. The owner was very easy to communicate with. We got there at night and the property was a little hard to find in the dark, but that was our only hiccup! Otherwise, it was great - lots of space to gather and to spread out.

Perfect family reunion
This beautiful house was perfect for our group of 9 plus a dog. Living room is comfortable and pretty with 2 couches and 3 chairs. Gourmet kitchen is well stocked and has a huge Viking stove. Pictures shown don’t do the house justice! There are 3 full baths, not the 2 1/2 listed, which was a nice surprise. The 1 bedroom on the first floor has a Jack and Jill door to the bathroom. Large, quiet back yard was enjoyed by our pup. House exceeded my expectations. Acadia and Bar Harbor provided lots of variety to please my diverse group.

Great location
We had some hiccups with check in (people before us didn’t leave on time) which led to house not being ready and a rushed cleaning job. But owner was very responsive to all our needs during our stay. Inside of house was very comfortable.

Beautiful place to stay
This is just one of the best vacation rentals we have stayed. The property is located right at the footsteps of Acadia and bar harbor attractions. The house was clean, big to hold big groups, well stocked with kitchen. Huge lawns was a great place for kids and family to play during the stay!

Our best family vacation, by far!
This charming house was overflowing with room and comfort. The location was unbelievable - 1.4 miles from downtown Bar Harbor and 2 miles to the entrance to Acadia National Park. We will definitely be coming back!

fantastic April getaway
Our family had a wonderful stay at Kebo Cottage. The home is conveniently located to all the wonders of Acadia. We loved exploring the various trails and the easy access to downtown Bar Harbor. The pictures accurately reflect how beautiful, comfortable, and clean the home is; however, they don't do the home justice as they don't capture the lovely and spacious kitchen and living room spaces. Great home for a family reunion. Owner is incredibly responsive and helpful. We hope to be able to return again soon!
