The property was stunning. The rooms were big, vaulted ceilings, the terraza was great. The pool was perfectly warm for a trip in March.

The staff was so, so helpful! We arrived not really knowing what we were doing, and we never would have been able to have had such a great day seeing butterflies without them.

The staff were very accommodating. We had to get up early for the butterflies and they got up to make breakfast for us. It’s a really nice place, huge comfy bed and nice hot shower.

Some of the staff were super helpful. The facility is subtle on the outside and gorgeous on the inside. The pool was so warm. Breakfast was generous and good quality. Very clean and spacious rooms and patios. A coffee maker was in the room. Wifi was good.

Communication was kind of rough at times. They didn't respond to my email and trying to ring on the phone didn't work either. Parking is down the street, not clearly marked, and gets locked up during certain hours. Took us a lot of struggling with communication to find it and then get the parking attendant to let us in. The hotel says it is a spa, but we couldn't find any evidence of that. I asked about services and got nothing in response.

Hotel Casa Iturbe is a haven inside Zitacuaro. Everything is spotless. The heated pool was very relaxing, and the chilaquiles for breakfast were some of the best I've eaten in a while.

This hotel was a beautiful little oasis a few blocks from the town square. We upgraded to a larger room which had a patio plus two comfortable chairs. Everything was modern and very clean. The pool was warm and clean. The room where breakfast was served was open air right next to the pool and could be used at any time. The included breakfast was very good. The staff was friendly and helpful but did not speak much English so be sure to brush up on your Spanish. The whole complex was gated so we felt very safe.

There was no fan or air conditioning in the room. We had to open our slider, which did not have a screen, to get air during the night. Because we knew that the gates were locked we felt safe in having our slider open. As is typical for small, rural towns in Mexico, dog barking and rooster crowing were very noisy sleep disrupters so ear plugs are a must.

Everything!!!. Wow this hotel was like a little slice of heaven. Beautiful and comfortable rooms, awesome heated swimming pool. Delicious breakfast. Really lovely staff. This hotel is amazing. I didn't want to leave. I would definitely stay again and highly recommend..

Walls are thin so you can hear people talking in other rooms and in corridor.. Guests at the weekend were very loud and not considerate of others. But this is not the fault of the hotel at all. As mentioned above the hotel itself is fantastic.

Hotel exceeded expectations. Modern and stylish building, spacious rooms and excellent hot shower. Gorgeous heated pool (very comfortable temperature), and good quality breakfast. Hotel manager and staff very helpful, including with helping us find restaurants with vegetarian options.

Would have been nice to have complementary body lotion that is common for hotels. Car parking nearby but has fixed opening and closing times that may not suit.

New, clean, nice breakfast, morning staff was great. Easy parking next door. Over all it was a nice experience. Certainly seemed as though it was an oasis in an otherwise seemingly forgotten town

Was difficult to find food in the area. It would have been nice to have info on where to eat or where to order from. There were a few loud guests and their noise echoed throughout the hotel until nearly 4am. Also would have liked a fan of some sort just to move air a bit.

It's hard to sleep at night, too much noise and you can hear everything. That's the only bad thing.
