The house was amazing, makes you feel like you are at home. I had a birthday dinner for my husband with some of his friends and wives. They all loved the atmosphere of the house, they said it was so inviting. The only thing we did not like was that our time was short. Not a single one of us wanted to leave. One of the couples wanted me to contact the owner to see if they could purchase the couch, then said hell the house too. We really enjoyed this place. We will be going back soon.

Very wonderful place to stay with family members.

The property is just as pictured on website. The rooms are huge, the house is huge and beautifully decorated. There were 5 adults, which included 1 couple. Everyone had his/her own space. There are 4 areas I feel could be tweaked but did not affect the superior rating. 1. The incorrect network is listed to connect to WiFi. It wasn't until day 2 we figured it out. 2. There are 2 doors (bedrooms downstairs) that need repair. The knobs comes off when pulled. This was frightening when it happened as it made me feel I did something wrong. 3. The information sheet states to clean refrigerator out upon departure, but the doors are full of left over condiments/items from previous guests. 4.The 'master bath', there were leftover shampoo bottles and Dove shower soap left in the shower from a previous guest I assume. They were used bottles. As I stated these are minor things that should be addressed, but not show stoppers by any means. I would definitely stay here again without hesitation. Wendy the property owner is very quick to respond to messages which is very personable.

We were looking for a safe and centrally located space with comfy beds and this was the perfect place.

The owner of this property is a wonderful communicator and keeps in contact with you. The property manager is just a text away. The house is indescribable - such beauty and character everywhere. A beautiful stay for 12 women. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

The house is fabulous! Well furnished with comfortable beds for everyone; well stocked with condiments, etc for cooking; well located for sightseeing; and well managed by Wendy and Rhonda. If we ever visit HS again…this is where we would stay.

We rented this home for a long weekend for a family gathering halfway between our home cities. The house is stunningly beautiful and has everything you could need to cook meals and feel at home. It was immaculately clean when we arrived. There was enough space for everyone to relax and not feel on top of each other, but also plenty of space to gather. The location is great, in a historic area and walkable to downtown if you feel up for it. A Catholic church is just a couple blocks away so we were able to walk to Sunday mass. Wendy was sweet to tell me where the games and things my kids might like to play with. There is a basketball hoop out back and they had fun playing all weekend. We felt safe in the neighborhood. A perfect stay. Thank you!

The 8 of of ladies LOVED this property! The house is beautiful. Lots of attention had been paid to all the details. The beds were all extremely comfortable. Wendy was quickly responsive to any questions. We all want to spend our retreat weekend here next year.

Such a beautiful historic home! We were amazed they entrusted such stunning furniture and decor to strangers. She even had it decorated for Halloween and a basket full of snacks. Highly recommend and hope to get to stay again.

WE ABSOLUTELY LOVED OUR STAY!! The Palmer House is one of the most beautiful properties we've ever seen. From the authentic architecture to the beautiful decor of this beautifully restored property, it took our breath away! The kitchen was gorgeous! Fully stocked, modern appliances. Master bedroom HUGE! The house provided everything we could desired, setting the perfect atmosphere for our event. Very spacious! The rooms were immaculate. Our favorite spot was the Sunroom. You could spend all day in that room, never leaving the tranquility. Breathtaking. Due to COVID restrictions, our group had to cancel our trip in 2020. But for each of us, the weekend was well worth the wait. Customer Service was top notch. Wendy was very responsive to all our needs. Thank you so much for creating such an oasis away from home. The property was just as pictured and was perfect for what we needed. Everyone was comfortable, we had good indoor and outdoor gathering places, and we had a GREAT time. The kitchen is well-stocked, the furniture is nice and is comfortable, the water pressure is FAR better than I'd have expected in a 100+ year old house. It's very well-maintained and Wendy is a great host.

Everything about this house was wonderful! We had everything we needed and then some. The kitchen and bathrooms were well supplied and the property was spotless when we arrived. The location is close to great restaurants and shopping. The owner was so helpful and attentive which made us feel even more welcome. I would most definitely stay here again! We traveled from 4 different states to have a family reunion and it was definitely a trip to remember.

We held our Family Reunion here in this Beautiful house and it was one of The Best Reunions Ever!! Everyone had so much fun and the best part was that everyone was able to spend so much more time with each other since we didn’t have to travel and meet at several locations! This home is absolutely beautiful but still feels like a home. The owner is super friendly and quick with any questions. Everything was perfect and supplied more then any other VRBO we have stayed in.

This home had plenty of areas for gatherings and family conversation. The host had the property decorated and fully stocked with unexpected items like coffee, detergent, spices… Beautiful home!

We really enjoyed our stay in this historic home! We love Hot Springs, and we loved how close (within walking distance) the house was to downtown. It was super clean and the owner/host was extremely helpful and communicative throughout the process. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Our family loved staying at the historic Vaughn-Palmer house for our daughter's wedding. It was very clean and tidy and smelled nicely scented instead of musty. It worked great for adults downstairs and teens upstairs. The mattresses and pillows were really comfortable. There were enough chairs for a gathering of 20. The sunroom is a great early morning hide-out. The kitchen and laundry room were outfitted with everything we needed. The only thing lacking was that I was unable to correspond with the owner about what was available for use for the wedding such as pitchers, tablecloth, silverware, etc. I am not sure if that is a VRBO policy or an oversight that my question was not seen. Turns out they had everything, but I had packed up an entire SUV of serving things (and just needed 2 bowls). I also would have liked the dead bushes and trees trimmed, but I know the deep winter freeze has put all of us in the south a bit behind. We can just edit out the dead limbs from the photos. The lawn was freshly manicured and looked lovely for the photos. Overall, the venue was great, the owner was helpful upon check-in and with questions during the stay, and it was a nice location in downtown Hot Springs: easy to pick up breakfast food for the wedding party just minutes away. I can’t say enough about our amazing stay at this beautiful home! Us and part of our wedding party stayed at this home as well as where we had our rehearsal dinner for our destination wedding in hot springs! The hosts are some of the nicest people ever!! Would def recommend can’t say enough about how perfect our wedding weekend went!! This home is absolutely beautiful!! And perfect space for large group!

We loved this house and all of its beautiful character! Very soon the yard will be bursting with beauty! We were very comfortable and Wendy was amazing to communicate with! Cannot think of one thing we needed that was not here!

Gorgeous historical home, super clean, and decorated for Halloween!!! We loved everything about! They had a complete coffee bar, and all the condiments and spices you could ask for. We will definitely be coming back.

Wow! Is an understatement. We simply loved this house from the minute we walked in. Our family of 5 stayed with another family of 5 and absolutely enjoyed every minute. The house and history of the home is amazing and it’s so spacious that no one was ever in anyone else’s way. There is lots of bedroom and living space and has something for every age range - adults and teenagers down to 4yr olds. The property is centrally located to the activities we wanted to do (lake, fishing, national park, downtown, etc). The property owner, Wendy, is so gracious and was very helpful every step of the way. We will definitely be going back and I have told several friends about the property already as well.

We recently decided to have our wedding at the Vaughn-Palmer House. I'm SO glad we did! I absolutely fell in love with the house as soon as I saw it for the first time. Wendy, the owner, is incredibly kind and easy to communicate with. She made a lot of recommendations to help me with planning my wedding and I could tell she genuinely cared. The house is gorgeous and feels warm and inviting while also feeling elegant and upper scale. I love the details and character of this 1902 home. The layout was perfect for my wedding and I wouldn't have changed a thing.
