Overall 7/10 for the stay here. A couple doors were misaligned and they don't close. One of the bathroom doors hits and damages the wall everytime it's opened. We were able to park under the house which was amazing keeping the cars cooler and out of the sun. The wifi is excellent, tons of parking, very close to beach access, and kitchen is beautiful. The kitchen sink water is weird not sure if the faucet is plumbed backwards or just takes a long time to get hot. The house smelled nice, was very clean and my family and I really enjoyed the house.

We have stayed at this place over the past 4 years and we love it! The location is perfect- so easy to walk across the quiet street to the beach access and just a 5 min drive into town. Everything was clean and well-maintained. We’ll be back next year!

LaiDDback's location was awesome! Very close walk to the beach and on a quieter end of the island, away fm the craziness of restaurants, spring breakers. The lock system was easy to use. The porches were great! However, they need some lounge or adirondack chairs on back deck, facing the yard, for relaxing on days when too windy on beach-facing porch. The cooking utensils and pots/casserole dishes were not clean. They needed washing before use, as did the blankets. No organization to the cabinets/drawers w/ cooking supplies. Things were scattered and stashed everywhere. So, it was difficult to know whether there were measuring glasses, mixing bowls, etc, without leaving every single cabinet open or emptied. The bathrooms need Clorox cleanup. A simple spray of the mildew would remedy those problem areas while other parts of the house were being cleaned between guests. The biggest issue was the SMELL inside the house. We are unsure what it is, but it hit you as soon as you walked in the door, each and every time. And when we checked out, all of our clothes, bags, etc smelled like that odor. Nothing helped - candles, room spray, white vinegar, open doors/air flow. That made it significantly disappointing. We are long time VRBO renters. And I take some reviews with a grain of salt, as some people are just fussy and hard to please. We respect the properties we rent like they're our own, but also appreciate that the places we rent are of good quality and cleanliness.

My husband and I took my daughter, daughter-in-law, grandchildren and sister-in-law for a short stay at Folly Beach.(3/24 - 3/28). We had a wonderful time. Our house was across the street from the beach, but we still had great views from the screened in porch. Everyone had a fun, relaxing time. One of the best things about our location: we were close to Bert’s, the island’s best grocery store, and downtown Folly Beach. We’d definitely stay here again.

The main door has a lot of trouble locking - sometimes taking 15-20 attempts to get it to lock. Both showers and a couple of sinks really need to be cleaned as water doesn’t drain properly. Construction directly across the street wasn’t made clear - blocking some of the view but also hammering at 7am…..

We loved staying here. Great house only things that needed changed was the couch and loveseat they are a bit too low. They’ve used a lot and when you sit on them it’s like sitting on the floor. Outside of that. The place is fabulous I would recommend to anyone. It was nice and clean and just right for our group. We were there for our anniversary with 3 couples. Perfect for us, great beach access.

LaiDDback was the perfect layout in an ideal location for our two families. Easy access to the beach, along with a beautiful view of the ocean, open living area, & plenty of space under the house for cars, chairs, surfboards, & relaxing. Only thing missing is an enclosed outdoor shower.

The location and home layout is great. Functioned well. Unfortunately the home was not very clean, smelled like smoke (all our belongings now smell like smoke) and we only had 3 towels for our 4 days stay with 4 adults and 1 child. There is also active and very loud construction right across the street which blocks view and makes it pretty miserable for a relaxing vacation. Couldn’t enjoy the outdoor porch due to this.

We loved the porch, ate most meals out there. The kitchen/open area was also great. We picked LaiDDback because of the bedrooms, all of us wanted a regular bed no bunkbeds. We liked the wide driveway you could back around before turning out on the road. And parking under the house, we had 3 cars and a rented golf cart and all could back in and out with out having to move cars around.

Gorgeous, spacious beach house just steps from the beach. We loved our time there. House very clean! Upon leaving I would have given a 5 star review however once getting home all of our belongings smelled of smoke- even our make up brushes. There was a hint of smoke when you first walked in but we didn’t notice it much while there. However weeks later I am still trying to get this smell out of my belongings :( other than that it was a beautiful stay.

Excellent house layout for two families and beach access is right across the street. However, right now there are two new homes being framed across the street so our whole house was shaking from the pile driver and we were woken up at 730 am every morning to the sound of construction. We were there for 5 days and could only enjoy the deck and "ocean view" at night when the construction workers went home. HUGE disappointment. I tried to contact the prop manager about this issue and no one ever answered.
The beds are very comfortable and the furniture in the home is nice. They do need more cups/glasses and coffee mugs for a home that sleeps 10 people.
They also need to go through and replace batteries in the smoke detectors because one started beeping at 2 am because the battery died and we had to find a ladder and get up to the 14' vaulted ceiling where it was located to remove it ourselves (again, we couldn't get anything done through the prop manager.. Which BTW, you book initially through VRBO and then you get an email from the third party manager saying you will make the final payment through them....I found this really weird as we have stayed in dozens of short term rentals and never had this happen.)
We absolutely LOVED Folly Beach, however, and will definitely be going back again someday! Maybe by then the house will be managed by someone else and the construction will be complete (but there will no longer be an ocean view)!

Very clean and comfortable. Plenty of bedding and kitchen was well equipped. Plenty of tv’s. We requested a toaster and fan and both were delivered within a few hours. 3 minute walk to the beach and 20 minute walk to the center of Folly. Highly recommend! We had a great family holiday!

House has a musty basement smell which you do become nose blind too within a couple days. Some of the sheets/bedding were stained upon arrival and we needed to strip/remake the beds first night. Good location/deck and house DOES come equipped with beach chairs, umbrella, etc despite Vacasa telling me it didn’t prior to my arrival. No beach towels so bring your own…

Property management company was great. Communicated daily with simple text message to make sure all was well. Actually replaced non-working grill within a matter of hours. Location is great with nice view and just a quick trek across the street to beach. Very quiet and relaxing but close enough to the beach shops. Also only 20 min from historic Charleston. Can’t lose…..

House was in a perfect location to be just close enough to downtown folly to enjoy it while being far enough away you did not have to deal with the traffic. The view of the water was perfect! Unfortunately the house smelled of cigarette smoke- not enough to realize it after the initial walk in the house each time, but enough it made all of our clothes smell of it despite trying to keep doors open to air it out.

Beautiful relaxing beach home
We had a wonderful stay at the beach home. We have been to Folly many times, but this was our first house that we rented away from Center Street. It was so quiet and peaceful. There was a nice view of the ocean from the front porch. We enjoyed cooking meals in the well equipped kitchen. The walk to the beach was short and easy. We also enjoyed using the grill and space under the house. It was our best trip to Folly yet. We hope to go back again!

Perfect spot for beach access
We loved the location of LaiDDBack, it was a quick and easy walk to get onto the beach. The house had plenty of seating and was well equipped to spend the week cooking there. One of our favorite parts was the fantastic porch that faces the ocean. We ate a lot of our meals out there as a family, having a second table was very nice! The only downside was the living room furniture and rug could use some cleaning and updates.

Girl's trip
I stayed at this lovely house with 4 of my closest girl friends and it was absolutely beautiful! we had a perfect view of the sunrise while we drank our coffee on the front porch and we walked miles around folly beach all weekend. Very great location just close enough to Charleston but such a quiet little spot!

Kitchen was not equipped well. Pans were in terrible condition. Drinking glasses were sketchy. House had a weird smell and all of our clothes needed to be washed once we got home (even the clean clothes). Cushions on couch were falling apart. Property was not up to my standards at all. I would not stay at this location again.

Perfect Bachelorette House
We had a great time on my bachelorette at this property. It is an amazing location- right across from the beach with access so close you might as well be on the beach. Not too far from downtown folley. Beautiful, clean accommodations with plenty of space. Only down-side was the check in process and not being able to know about early check in until the day of.
