The location was great to attend the Goodwood Revival and the host had several suggestions on when / how to get there. We enjoyed doing several things in the Portsmouth area as well during our stay.

a shower would have been easier for my wife than a bath

Although Barnham doesn't have much to offer, it is very well connected by train to London, Brighton, Bognor Regis, Southampton, Portsmouth, etc., and this property is within an easy walk of the train station.

There were lots of knick-knacks, which is a pet peeve of mine, as the mum to a young toddler. The decor was a bit odd.

It was a very convenient location, clear directions, the host was available if I needed anything, it was a comfortable stay, clean and welcoming

On first walking in I thought I was in the wrong house!.. it was all set up with ornaments and personal pictures. Exceptionally clean..kitchen has everything we needed..large homely lounge 2 large bedrooms with very comfortable bed..upstairs bathroom and downstairs toilet.. I've stayed in many apartments and this one as a workman was up with the best..would gladly book for my family to stay..everything was absolutely spot on! The property , the information given by the host..I honestly can't fault!

Leaving!.. .. just being picky here but no smart TV and very limited reception on the channels..

Comfortable 2 double bedroom house with stairs and a single bathroom with shower over the bath fed by electric "instant" hot water device. Smallish kitchen with a nice washing machine, but no dishwasher. Good size fridge&freezer combo. All very clean. Nice south-facing conservatory with comfy L-sofa opening to small pleasant garden, in addition to spacious & comfortably furnished lounge-diner. Good quality bedding. Freeview lounge TV. 2nd ground floor toilet is very handy. Was available at short notice at a good price whilst everything else in West Sussex was booked up - so thank you. Also thank you for the Welcome Pack. Key was in lock box.

Location is comparatively remote & definitely not a gourmet destination, although can walk to Passage of India restaurant which has indoor seating and reasonable food. Local food shops have basic items, but nothing more. Otherwise there is a range of untried local takeaways or drive 5-15 mins to pub grub. Although very limited pub table availability in July/August, unless booked 2 weeks ahead. No dedicated house parking as set back from road by a small communal green with on street parking beyond. Usually able to park but may have to hump luggage 60-70 yds. Would benefit from some decent wine glasses and a dedicated bread knife.
