Excellent central location. Tastefully decorated and plenty of space for a family of 5

This place is full of character with antique furnishings, artwork, chandeliers, ceiling medallions, and crown molding. It was clean and comfortable and had plenty of room for our group of five adults (more space than any of our other accommodations as we traveled the Ring Road). It had a large kitchen with full-sized appliances and a 42" TV in the living room (several of our other accommodations had no TV). Plus, it is on a quiet side street yet within walking distance to the main shopping area, restaurants, the harbor, and the Hallgrimskirkja Cathedral, and free parking is included.

House exterior badly in need of maintenance, both building and gardens, it was a shame as it must once have been beautiful and much loved.

Amazing location, nice big kitchen, three very large bedrooms. Cool style.

The water was stinky.

The place is sweet and spacious. For a large group of people this worked well. The kitchen Rocks. The gas stove too! The kitchen was the best gathering place for everyone. Location fantastic. Thank you Karen

The size and interior spaces were perfect for our family of three adults and one child. We loved the central location, the house was always warm and the car parking excellent. The big kitchen table was our favourite place to hang together reading, playing games and cooking. It was a fantastic apartment and we would highly recommend to others and stay again ourselves.

Laundry facilities and a slighter newer TV that would allow us to login to our own streaming accounts would have made our stay perfect but these were by no means essential, just nice to have.

Super location and very comfortable character full and well equipped apartment.

Nothing, but would suggest some better instructions for finding the place. Took us a while to work out!

I loved the space in the property, especially the kitchen. We were able to sit around the large table and have meals together. The property had a lovely style and we enjoyed the comfortable beds and the layout of the bedrooms. The apartment was close to amenities and a great spot for exploring the city.

Extreamly impressed by this apartment. It was a very large apartment in the centre of Reykjavik. You could get to the nearest bars in under 5 min walk, but equally was very very quiet at night. Super impressed and would absolutely come back to stay again. Nice decor too- the owner clearly has an eye for art.

there were parking spaces at the back which looked like part of the property but there was no note of this and so I paid in the car park.

We got moved to a different apartment and a different location, without any communication upfront. The owner claimed the apartment we had a confirmed reservation for, but clearly a confirmed reservation means nothing to the company that handles the reservations. Notifying customers is also not on their to do list. We found out when we were already at the door at the wrong apartment with all our luggage. on top of that, the new apartment we got moved to had one bedroom less, while the number of bedrooms was the main reason why we booked this apartment. Absolutely not acceptable.

It was a perfect location for exploring central Reykjavik. Easy to get to via Bus Stop 1 from the main BSI bus terminal. A small corner shop less than 1 minutes walk away to get supplies from. Everything you could need is available :-)

Only one minor comment. On the TV instructions, no indication that the input needed to be set to 'EXT 2' for the satellite box to work with the TV. After a while though, we anaged to work it out :-)

Good location, clean apartment with working kitchen

Beautiful traditional house located about a 10 minute walk from downtown Reykjavik. we loved our stay here and will definitely book again next time we’re in the area!

location! unique apartment.

stovetop didn’t work properly, oven dirty, no essentials like dishwasher soap, napkins, paper towels, we had to purchase. also had to purchase toilet paper as not enough was left for the week. someone was in the apartment when we were out. we returned home to find a piece of metal on the stovetop (see photo below) , cable not working, and windows opened that we had not left open. contacted the owners and got no response except to say they would check with the cleaners and never got back to us. no offer to correct cable issue or assure us that no one was in the apartment while we were out…..seems like it was impossible that someone was not there.

It was beautifully decorated and the grounds were lovely.

Only one set of keys for 5 of us. Also when people walked upstairs or dragged chairs, it could be heard. This was ok during day but not during "sleeping time".

It was great, such wonderful rooms, above all the biggest of it. such a huge kitchen. And very central. Thanks a lot.

Could do with some TLC, cracked windows, patched up wallpaper. noisy when neighbours walked around upstairs but all minor things.

Location was very good. Within a few Minutes walking youre in the center of Reykjavík. House looks very nice of a distance. Private parking place!!

House was very noisy. Wooden floors. Other guests in the same building , in another apartment, came home in the middel of the night (several nights) and make a lot of noice (sounded like a party). Between 22.00 and 09.00 it should be quit, that wasn't the nights we were there. House is very noicy. House needs to be renovated. Windows restauration and outside painting is very bad.
