It's a beautiful home in a great location. Convenient to a pier, grocery store,restaurants,shopping and activities. Nice firm beds, comfortable living room funiture, well stocked kitchen. We love the tall chairs on the deck. Enjoyed pool table and hot tube. I highly recommend this place and I will be renting again.

Windows are dirty, hvac vents are dirty, no good knives or kitchen pans, beds are sub par, couches are low, not supportive, old; Maintenance guy was great; all in all we will stay again buy the couches are in desperate need of replacement. The dining table is sticky (the finish of it, so your nails feel gross on it when trying to pick anything up like playing cards).

Teens did their thing, we adults enjoyed ourselves. We went to Mama Kwan's for incredible edibles, visited Bodie Island, walked on the beach enjoying the sea and its many manifestations. We walked to some nearby retailers and sometimes just walked around. Great kitchen with good variety of cooking tools. The views from the balconies are all noteworthy. We found the house clean and ready for us when we arrived. How nice a place it is.

Reviewer Comments: Honestly, I was going to not write anything but since I’ve received 10000 emails and/or texts requesting my review, I will go ahead and be honest. I have never experienced so much stress related to trash pick-up in my entire life. So to experience it while you’re trying to enjoy a 4 day, $3500 vacation rental is just insane. I legit received approximately 15 emails and texts regarding trash pickup on our quick 4 day stay. Secondly, I completely understand why people are getting away from VRBOs- you guys have more rules than a summer camp for kids. For instance “bring all your dirty towels and drop them at the foyer to make OUR job easier”- when I’m on vacation and paying $3500 I didn’t think I’d be a schlepping so much laundry around. When we booked our rental through VRBO it stated our check in time was 4pm. So when I received the email saying it will be ready by 6pm I was a little frustrated - and emailed the company and immediately received a call back from the RUDEST women Who just proceeded to yell at me about the contract I signed which states check in was between 4-6 and I should have read the contract and Vrbo won’t change the time on it even though that’s not accurate (how hard is it to change the time?!) so yes, that was absolutely my fault. I should have read every last word of the contract. But to receive a call from a lady who was just yearning to go off on another person was extremely disheartening. So I thought maybe it’s me- and so I proceeded to check out the rental company’s reviews on Google. After confirming that Beach Realty of NC has a 1.5 star rating (again should have done my homework- lesson learned- never had an issue with anyone else before though so this is new) AND multiple reviews mentioned the horrendously rude customer service lady( y’all really should consider getting rid of her - she’s bringing down your ratings) I felt better

House was equipped with everything you might need and then some. Beautifully furnished and super clean and well kept. Rental company was super nice and super respinsive with questions we had. Property was perfect for our family of adults and teenagers. Great location right on the beach and still close to restaurants and shopping. House was clean, updated and very well stocked! We cooked several big meals and had everything we needed. Fantastic view from the top deck and we loved drinking our coffee and watching the dolphins in the morning. We would definitely recommend and would stay here again!

Needed to get away with a change of scenery from our cold home in PA. While not summer it was a beautiful home with fantastic views and everything we needed. Loved everything about this home starting with the stunning views and excellent location. Wonderful get away that we would go back to in a heartbeat. Thank you for a wonderful time and sharing your piece of heaven with Tracey, me and our little companion, Winnie! Loved it!

It was obvious there were renovations to the kitchen and top floor but the bottom two floors and pool area were less than optimum. Grill, beach chairs, etc were rusted out, screens were ripped, there were marks on walls and dents. In addition, the outside stairs leading down to the pool deck need safety markings. My 80-year-old mother couldn't differentiate the stairs from each other and fell. She broke her shoulder and sprained her ankle. With three stories to maneuver and no accessibility options, it created a major issue for her and the rest of us for the remainder of our trip. Another bit of feedback, we got mixed messages on check-in and check-out times. The access code even stopped working at 9:30 am, 30 minutes before check-out.

Location was great and we had a short walk several nights to the Tortuga Lies restaurant, which also is very good. Couple of minor issues, the windows were very dirty overlooking the sea and would have been nice if they were professionally cleaned. The door to the upper balcony did not close properly and we had a gale from the north one day and the wind was howling through the crack and it required a chair to hold shut. There was a BBQ in name only...was not functional...finally the front door was locked at 930am and not 10am on check out morning and lucky that we removed all items prior. Regardless a pleasant stay.

There were a lot of stairs to climb but there was a master bedroom on the upper floor with the kitchen/dining room and living room. Also there was a balcony. The home was clean. There were plenty of kitchen gadgets and pots and pans, silverware, and dishes and glassware. Several of the fry pans were in pretty bad shape. I guess people don't take care of things the way we do or they don't care because it isn't theirs. All in all we had a great vacation. Would definitely be back. But probably would get a smaller house next time.

Becaue it's so close to a public beach access point, I wonder if the beach would be much more crowded in the high season? The house was roomy and the layout worked for our large family. Having several masters was key so most of our party had private bathrooms. The kitchen was well-stocked, albeit a bit disorganized, but that's not surprising after months and months of rental guests rearrange things. The pool seemed like it would be great, but sadly was too cold for us to use it. The outdoor gas grill was the only disappointment – it was so smelly and dirty, we could not use it. We have no other complaints about the property or our stay. Overall, it's a very lovely home in a great location!

We had beautiful views of the beach, sunrises and the moon over the ocean at night. The house was spacious and the kitchen was nice and new. A few things I will note: the washing machine seems broken. When it was on spin cycle it spun so hard it completely turned itself around. The noise it made was so loud, it definitely needs to be repaired. The wooden gates to the pool on the second level and bottom level were completely broken so you could not open the door or had to leave it open which was a hazard since we have little kids that we don't want by the pool without an adult. The sun deck on your way to the beach is very overgrown with weeds so you cannot sit there at all. The cleaning crew did not do a good job- I had to have them come back to clean again because the kitchen had grease all over the stove area and the floors were so sandy you felt like you were on the beach. Lastly there is definitely some litter on the outside of the fence around house from previous renters.

The property was perfect for our family. We had a wonderful time. It’s location is beautiful right on the beach and near many attractions and shopping. My only suggestion is that the pool, grill area was better cleaned. We took care of the grill ourselves and all was good.

The walk to the water was so close. Parking there was enough room for everyone. Loved having another refrigerator downstairs along with a sink, dishwasher and 1/2 bath. A nice surprise was having a 1/2 bathroom outside by the pool. Only down fall for us was the stairs. It was hard for myself and my daughter(have bad backs) to manage but loved having the landings in between sets though.
