I am a solo female traveler and was nervous about doing the quilatoa loop. victor gave me great information and the trek was wonderful. I really liked waking up in the morning to the beautiful views of illiniza Norte y sur covered with fresh snow. A delicious leisurely breakfast and huge lunch was prepared while other travelers were riding the bus from latacunga. I highly recommend hikers to stash their bags in latacunga and take an afternoon bus to Starlight hostel.

Really comfortable and clean place. They have super warm heaters in the social areas for the evenings. Dinner and breakfast is included and is a great. They tailored breakfast to the time we requested. Really friendly staff. Lovely place and great value.

No hot water

Victor (the manager) was awesome. He and his wife really look after you. He was ready and waiting when I arrived in the town and very kindly drove me to the Inn. The view from the Inn is spectacular and conveniently located near the trail head. The Inn has all the creature comforts one needs and is really good value. The meals were very tasty and filling

Very caring host, he waited for us till we finally made it in the middle of the night. Next morning he prepared an amazing breakfast. I love his little ideas around the hostel: e.g. bottle trick for closing the doors.

The location is perfect to enjoy the surrounding mountains and start the Quilotoa Loop hike. Also, the owner is very friendly.

The host, Victor, was so helpful and patient with my questions. The bed was comfortable, the setting was gorgeous. Also the food!!! There Was so much of it and it kept coming. This was the best food I've eaten on this trip so far.

The shower is electric water heater, so it's not very warm, but it's fine for a quick shower.

Friendly staff and beautiful mountain location a little walk from the main town of Sigchos

Everything was super nice. The people were lovely and very helpful. A super authentic and feeling like home place. I felt very welcome and relaxing. Would love to go back!

Location was right next to the start of the Sigchos to Islinlivi hiking trail. Dinner and breakfast were included and the meals were tasty.

The mattress in our room was thicker on one side than the other and also had a dent that made it feel like one of us was sleeping in a hole and the other of us was sleeping on a slant.

The hospitality of the owners was amazing. Clean and comfortable. It’s simple but has everything you might need for the perfect location to start the Quilotoa trek.

The dinner wasn't the best but breakfast made up for it. We also had to wait 15 mins for the owner to come back and welcome us... Bad timing I guess.

Great location, right at the start of the Quilotoa loop, valid option rather than Latacunga. The place is quite basic but cosy and welcoming.

Víctor and his wife were incredibly kind and helpful. the food was delicious, we got to practice our Spanish and we met their new puppy. they also have a llama named Rocky who made the view of the valley even better. Victor was super helpful in driving us to Cerro Azul for our trip to Tangan. All in all, great place to start the Quilatoa trek over Latacunga.

Perfect place to stay to start your hike to quilitoa as its right on the path. Great view from the garden. Breakfast and dinner were great as well as the packed lunch.
