There wasn't any breakfast but I knew this before I booked. From the moment I booked in, there was genuine warmth from all the staff, they are totally incredible people. Everything you could have wanted in the room was there and oh, the place was spotless. One would think that rooms above a pub would be noisy but no! of course one would hear a hum of noise but, it was happy noise, laughter, everyone so cheery. Even when the pub was closing, people were calling out their goodbyes and they were happy, no problems. They had a live band there on the 2nd night and they were brilliant! Going to the old town Hastings is like being in a different world because of their genuine warmth and friendliness no matter if they knew you or not. I met the Manager of the Jenny Lind, she was great, so efficient and yet so genuine in her care for not just the patrons of the pub but the guests that were staying also. I could go on and on but all I will say is, if you need a relaxing break amongst the most genuine people I have met in a very long time, it HAS to be the Jenny Lind.

There was nothing about the Old Town or the Jenny Lind that I did not like but, what I did not like was having to go in to Hastings which was like walking in to another country, boarded up shops, fights, people laying on the ground drunk, drugged up people walking towards you like zombies...like a mini Beirut, Hastings was horrendous and so, Old Town it has to be if you want the perfect break, there is none of the problems that exist in main Hastings town centre in the Old Town.

Kleiner Hotelbetrieb über einem Pub gelegen. Saubere Zimmer, tolle Lage, nette Leute.

Bereits um 10 Uhr auschecken zu müssen, ist schon etwas jugendherbergsmäßig und kommt fast nem Rauswurf gleich.

Great location in the heart of hastings old town. 5 mins walk from seafront & 2 mins from all the lovely independent shops, pubs & eateries..

The only issues wa found was the curtains could be better blackout type as the existing ones let do much early morning light in , still we had a wonder time .

The Jenny Lind rooms are above a friendly pub that programs a lot of music, in one of the main old town streets, so if you're looking for calm, you should probably book elsewhere. The rooms are smallish but very clean with possibility to make tea coffee with biscuits.

We had not understood that there was no food on the premises. Rooms can be quite warm in summer but there was a fan in the cupboard

very nice clean rooms . well equipped. greeting staff explained everything clearly and were friendly . Great location in the heart of Hastings and good price .
