Perfect location and staff

Perfectly positioned hotel in a lovely quiet village in Bavaria. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was amazing, dinner was lovely. The village is peaceful and quaint and very easy to get to places by train. The room was cosy and the bed was lovely big and comfortable. Our only downside of our stay in Mittenwald was the Gorge and the cablecar were closed but that’s not the fault of the hotel, more our lack of research. But we instead went to Garmisch and had the most amazing time going on the cable car to Zugspitz which was beautiful. We will definitely be back and recommend.

Awesome location, staff are very friendly, rooms are clean. We will recommend and definitely be staying again when back in Mittenwald.

Good Location

Very cute alpine hotel located right in the walking area of Mittenwald. The restaurant was full both nights we stayed there and the food there was very good. Free parking is available. It could be a little tight during busy times I think, but it was fine while we were there and we had a compact car. We would definitely stay here again.

It was a little tricky to find by car the first time. It would be very helpful if there were driving directions in the listing or on their web site.

Great location in heart of Mittenwald. Friendly, efficient staff. Nice, atmospheric restaurant for dinner with extensive menu. Breakfast had good variety.

We had several meals here, and all were delicious! Breakfast is a varied buffet, including meats, cheeses and breads, and served in the sunny breakfast room. We had dinner both outside, on the patio, and inside listening to live music. Both meals featured German specialties and beers, and were great.

The location is really in the center of Mittenwald. Breakfast is included in the room price. We really love the hotel vibes!

Exceptional. Staying at this hotel felt like a trip back in time (in a good way) - it felt like a cosy lovely tavern from the past, where you can get a hearty meal, be greeted by a lovely family and get a warm bath after a walk under the rain in the Alps. Everything was perfect and like in a Milka commercial. Would love to come back.

Mittenwald is so small that there is no difference if your hotel is in the middle or not. There is not much free parking slots in the middle of course, but the hotel has its own. There is also a very good restaurant downstairs. And these hiking trails...

This is a traditional historical hotel in the heart of Mittenwald's old town. Our room was basic but clean. The hotel with bar and restaurant was always lively. Great staff! Their restaurant was very good with live music. Breakfast was also wonderful. Free parking available in garage behind hotel.

Love this small hotel. Have stayed here several times and will stay here again. central location to easily walk to anywhere in town. staff is always helpful and breakfast is very nice.

Beautiful place, cozy rooms and a nice breakfast. The location is very central to basically anything you want to do from Mittenwald.

The room was a little more "cozy" than we had expected but very clean and comfortable.

The room was small and very dark. Also looked like everything was old. I would not recommend it, despite great location and great restaurant.

The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming, the rooms are postcard perfect, and the location is ideal. There is even covered, free parking in the barn behind the hotel.
