Very beautiful location with stunning views on the mountains. Quiet little hotel, very cozy and relaxing. The host is super friendly and helpful and put in a lot of effort. Breakfast was very good and everything thing was done to make sure the quests are satisfied. Rooms are spacious very comfortable. Wifi was great and free parking available. If you want to relax, this is the place. Enjoyed everything, highly recommend this place.

Very cosy rooms with a stunning view of the Alps. Shower was 10/10.

Apple Maps doesn’t show the tunnel going up to the property and takes you up dangerous roads so found it difficult to get to on the first night. However Google Maps shows the tunnel and is very easy to access this way.

Outstanding location. In addition, Ronald, the owner, is the best host you will find in Switzerland. Feels like home. Ronald even prepared sandwiches for our early rise trip to Jungfrau.

The route up the mountain is a little challenging, but we got used to it.

The location is absolutely amazing with great views and a cable car right next to the hotel. The hotelier is brilliant and will help you with anything. I would definitely recommend this hotel. The hotel is immaculately clean and the breakfast is lovely. There is a bus stop next to the hotel or a walking route into lauterbrunen.

Spectacular view from the rooms and restaurant. During the drive up to the hotel you enter a tunnel that spirals up inside the mountain. An unbeatable entrance experience! Every day the breakfast was slightly changed to bring variety. The host attended to every wish.

This place exceeded our expectations. It looks better than in the pictures. The room was very clean and comfortable. We slept well, we ate well, we enjoyed everything. We will definitely comeback here!

okay. so this is the quintessential Swiss GastHaus. with restaurant attached and all. Ronald is a SuperHost. so kind and generous. We arrived meeting him for the first time and left true friends. the property is right next to the Sulwand cable car which is a hidden gem in the Lauterbrunnen valley.

the only concern for some travelers might be the location. if you have a car, then no problems. easy to get to. but without a car you need to rely on the trains and public bus. which times are not convenient. especially the bud that takes you to Isenfluh from Lauterbrunnen Bahnhof (train station). so be aware. BUT, it is a true positive as you are off the beaten track and away from tourists. a real positive.

Excellent hotel with a wonderful view. The equipment in the rooms is not modern but all in perfect working order and very clean, have no complains at all. The host meeting and greeting is very helpful and provided a portable fridge for a room having noticed we would need it while unloading my car, which was a kind gesture. The view from the room and breakfast is absolutely stunning and does get that mountain view. The twisty road uphill through the tunnel is an amazing addition to the entire experience of living there, although bear in mind you need to be a confident driver. Would love to be back in future.

The view from the terrace is fantastic! The all-wood interior is very cosy and kept the room warm during the night.

The view of the Eiger, the Moench and the Jungfrau mointains from our balcony was shockingly beautiful! We loved the architecture of the hotel and the food, the staff and the room we had. The location, which was right next to the gondola up to Sulwald where the hiking was not too difficult and which had an interesting trail and stunning views of the snow tipped peaks. The cows on the the trail were friendly. You could hear their bells before you could see them.

The only ways to get there are by foot, by car or by Postbus which runs every half hour and costs 7.60 CHF per person one-way for a 13 minute ride. The last ride back to Isenfluh is at 6:35. Also, other than hiking, there is nothing to do up there and no place to eat other than the hotel.

excellent staff, very clean, wonderfully views

Fantastic setting & views, quiet and away from the touristy Lauterbrunnen yet near. The road up to Isenfluh is part of the experience! The room was big and comfy. Good meal in the restaurant.

Nothing negative but remember the restaurant is closed for dinner on Mondays and Tuesdays so arrive prepared unless you want to drive down the narrow road to Lauterbrunnen for a meal.

This place was absolutely amazing and exceeded our expextions greatly! The view from the hotel is absolutely breath taking and the location was in our opinion perfect, in a very small and calm village of Isenfluh, just a short car ride (or a longer walk) from Lauterbrunnen and Grindelwald. The cable car up to beautiful Sulwald is just outside the door. The restaurant was very good as well, with great breakfast and good dinner. The owner was kind and offered good service. The place was clean and bed big.

The furnishings and decor are a bit outdated, but it actually adds to the charm. The patio furniture could have been slightly more comfortable.
