Star of the Sea was the perfect setting for our group’s beach trip. The kids loved having a sleepover in the bunk room, and each couple was appreciative of having their own king sized bed. Being able to see the beach from the pool was a big plus, as was being able to see the pool from the living area. Would definitely stay here again!

This is the second time we have stayed at this property and again it was beautiful. Thank you!

We were very pleased with our stay. Some of the handles on doors, windows and faucets need to be tightened- especially the back door as it kept coming off. But that is the only issue we had. The house was beautiful and in a great location. It was well stocked and you can’t beat the sunsets. Latoya was always available and helpful!

We have between 8 & 12 of us from all over the states gathering each year. We have stayed in many homes on Crystal Beach, Miramar Beach but we like this one best. I was pleased to discover there are privacy shades on the windows in the master bathroom around the tub area (which were not visible in online pics). The pool was actually larger in person than we expected from the pictures online. Our entire family really enjoyed being able to use it when the ocean was too rough or we were ready for some down time. Much of the day, at least a portion of the pool is shaded & that was quite nice. The house is so beautiful, tastefully and thoughtfully designed & decorated. The linens and furnishings anre all very high quality and luxurious. The chairs & umbrella set up on the beach was so nice to have access to each day during our stay. The guys set them up each morning at 8 am & took them down each day between 4-5 pm. The chairs were all labeled that they were reserved for our house. We were pleasantly surprised to discover lots of beach/sand toys, floats, etc in the storage space under the deck - and made good use of them. We didn’t use the guest house space, but it is just as beautiful and well appointed as the main home. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed (and then some). The proximity of the home to some of our favorite Destin shopping and dining was really nice as well. We have already booked a second stay at this home for next season (this is literally the first place we’ve ever wanted to stay in a 2nd time in Destin). Highly recommend! *We found the outdoor hose & shower on the stairs from the deck to the beach to be in working order and completely satisfactory for our needs. Additionally, we found the pots & pans in the kitchen to be of nice quality, as were all of the kitchen utensils & appliances.

This property was just perfect! It is close to everything and the beach is beautiful. I would definitely book this property again! The only con I have is that they need better toilet paper😂😬! The kitchen had everything we needed. The guest house is a nice addition and the pool is very clean. We also had Chef Jekyll come in and cook my husband’s birthday dinner. It was a great week!!!

The good: location is great, private beach access with beach set up was good. Private pool was good and covered patio space is invaluable. Main bedrooms had good mattresses. Linens appeared to be clean. House is grand, lots of light. The bad: the house is aged and needs a good Reno and deep clean. The windows are hard to see out of due to failed seals. One of the two dishwashers only works if restarted 4-5 times during the cycle. Foosball table is uneven and a ball was not provided. The beds while clean, had a towel thin “blanket” on them, no comforters were provided. Throughout our stay we continuously found rusted nails and screws adrift on the property to which our children almost stepped on, my brother in law cut his hand on a rusted nail on property that was exposed at the base of the deck stairs. I stepped on metal shavings near the grill and punctured my foot. The pool boy who apparently comes every Tuesday (renters beware) was a complete surprise and no notification was provided. Our kids had to get out of the pool while he cleaned and tested the water, cutting into our $100 per hour vacation time. The vacuum provided does not lift sand and fills the house with a mold/mildew smell rendering it useless. The 18 guest accommodation was provided with 12 towels. Neither outdoor shower worked, and the foot rinse hose was ruptured. Propane tanks were empty and maintenance was unable to deliver a tank. Reimbursement for tank was provided but incredibly inconvenient.

The home was beautiful w/amazing views and the location is perfect! My grandchildren (ages 3-10) loved the bunk room! We’re actually going to copy the design in our new home! In fact, I’m planning on incorporating a lot of the same elements in our new home! While we had a few issues (pool heater did not work, grill burners were rusted out (unable to use) and the pots and pans are in need of replacement, upstairs AC unit didn’t work one evening) during our stay, the management team at Beyond Blue Vacations were quick to respond. I will most definitely miss the view from the master bedroom!

You could see the dolphins early morning come in so close they would swim around you. We could open our windows and hear the ocean at night (I loved this!). Whole Foods was .7 miles away, definitely within walking distance so we had healthy food choices. The place was extremely clean and well maintained. The pool temp was heated to 88 degrees ( we paid to have it heated). The carriage house was very nice. Not as updated as the main house, however the king bed was very comfortable and everything was clean and nice (just not as modern). It’s totally separate from the house, it’s over the garage. So it’s very quiet and private. Whenever we had a minor issue, it was resolved the same day. I typically like to try different places to stay, however this place will be hard to beat!

The place was completely updated and very comfortable. There were six adults and three kids under the age of seven. It was completely updated and very nice. The only thing I would mention is they could have had a few more blankets around some of the nights we were there got kind of chilly, and there were not extra blankets for the beds. Also, they could probably update their pans and pots as they were some with Teflon coating that had been scraped off. Other than that everything was wonderful. I’m not.

Great location for all the necessities. All our favorite restaurants were minutes away and anything else we needed to stock up on was just a short drive away. House was awesome and the beach was just steps away. Definitely doing a return trip in the near future.

Awesome beach home. All supplies, amenities, location etc couldn't have been better. We hope to come back next year!

This property is amazing. The view, pool, cleanliness, furnishings, ample parking made this property one of our favorites. We will visit again for sure.

4pm check in time finally in by 5pm. Construction still going on. They were hurrying to get out - not their fault. Poor planning by the rest all group. Some work not complete - hand rails they told us about but no toilet paper holders and minor things like that. Terrible bug prion the kitchen. Everything was clean but hadn’t been sprayed in a while. I understand bugs on the coast but this was ridiculous. This Beyond Blue group is not someone we will ever use again…

Although all of the renovations were not complete, the ones that were completed were beautiful and well appointed. We can't wait to see the rest of the renovations. The staff was extremely helpful with any issues we had, and the maintenance guy was johnny on the spot. We were disappointed he could not lite the fireplace in the master as the weather was cooler and called for heat in the house. We love a fire! The heated pool was a perfect size for the kids and was a welcome addition to coming up from a cool wind on the beach. Kitchen was well appointed and we found everythinng we needed for a successful Thanksgiving day.

This is truly a prime location, it was amazing to be right on the most beautiful beach. The area was just great!

The bunkhouse was great if you had tiny little kids, but we had single adults staying in the bunks., weird b/c it's actually connected to the ginormous master bedroom. The adult single guests only entry and exit was through the master bedroom. NO Privacy at all and maybe a fire hazard. That ginormous suite and bathroom could be a tad bit smaller and offer privacy if it was configured differently. The kitchen was beautiful but not well equipped for 12 people. We went off season with a crew of 12 and like to cook. There were only 2 10"frying pans, 1 4 quart pot and a 10" cookie sheet. We had to go out and purchase a big 14" cooker and a griddle. There was a ton of silver-wear and dishes but hardly anything to cook in for 12 people. There were only 14 towels, Management said the maids counted 24 bath-towels. (We could not find them). The management co did deliver a set of pots and pans and towels. The pool was full of green algae, after calling they came out the next day to clean it. Overall the place was gorgeous, the management company did bring us what we needed but in my opinion we shouldn't have had to call the management company at all for the price and beauty of the house.

App was nice. Would suggest additional towels for bathing and in kitchen and additional cookie sheets.

G & I , plus our (7) grown kids/spouses and (9) grand kids ages 3-15 loved it! Wish we could afford to do it more often! Most of our time was spent on the beach or in the pool and it was glorious. Vacation tip: don't let your 7 year old's try and log in to the security screen by the front door unless you are ready for a really loud alarm and visit from the local constables. And "silent alarm" is NOT the right thing to push to turn off the alarm.

We had a fabulous time with our daughters and their families including our adult grandchildren. Beautiful home right on the beach. Couldn't have been better.
