This is a lovely spot, perfect for families traveling together (and dog friendly, which we were so grateful for!). We stayed for a ski weekend and enjoyed nearby Chestnut Mountain. It was a great time!

Great property, easy walk to downtown and walking trail. Dancing in the Disco Cave was fun!

I hope the owners had as much fun furnishing this house as it looks. It’s a beautiful mix of new and old with everything you could possibly need for your stay.

The place was comfortable & nicely decorated. Rooms are up steep stairs so keep that in mind. House has everything you need & perfect for dog as well - themed around dogs & has everything your dog would need to enjoy the place. The internet is not good in this area ( no fault of owner) just overall bad in Galena area. Very nice home.

My family and I loved the aesthetic of little historic house. from the disco cave to the decor and the huge basket of dog toys in the living room, this house just awesome! Only a 10 minute walk to the shops/bars and has parking for 2 cars in the driveway! Would def stay in this house again!

If you are looking for a place to stay that represents Galena, this is the perfect home for you! Kind, attentive hosts have made it so that you will not want for anything. Unique decor, plenty of space and thoughtfully furnished, they have given great attention to making sure your stay is cozy and comfortable! It is in the perfect location, in a quiet neighborhood but very close to downtown shopping. Plenty of space to park. One of our favorite rentals so far! We really enjoyed the home and hope to stay again!

If you want to stay somewhere in Galena that represents what the area is all about, then this is the house for you! Perfectly furnished, comfortable beds, it has everything you could possibly need. The location is perfect, quiet neighborhood but right next to the downtown shopping. Very kind, attentive hosts. They have put a lot of thought into the home making sure it is the perfect place to relax!

Galena is one of our favorite weekend destinations and now we found a favorite vacation home to share with friends and family.

Each year my two sisters and I find a new place to explore and enjoy a getaway weekend together. This year, that place was Galena. FiveTen Federal was our home for the weekend and we couldn’t have asked for a better place. Before we arrived, we received a warm and informative welcome from the hosts. When we walked in the front door, we knew we’d made a great choice. The space has abundant historic character, but the features are completely up to date, complemented by a delightful array of art throughout. We hung out around the sunny kitchen island sipping coffee each morning before heading out to experience Galena. The kitchen is well-equipped for anything you might want to prepare. In the evening, we gathered in the living room to listen to music as we talked about each day’s experiences. The property’s three bedrooms are upstairs. Each room was clean and inviting, with mattresses and bedding that guaranteed a good night’s rest. Although we didn’t use it, there’s a very nice laundry room on the upper floor. (For those with mobility challenges, the stairs to the second floor are narrow and steep. There is a handrail, but for some, the stairs might prove a bit daunting.) The property is located in a quiet neighborhood slightly away from the hustle and bustle of Galena’s Main Street. You can definitely walk into town. With temps in the teens and a brisk wind, though, we opted to drive. We found free parking without a problem. Bottom line: FiveTen Federal was the perfect spot to spend our Sisters Weekend. We highly recommend it. We totally enjoyed our time in Galena and FiveTen Federal was a big part of that.

We loved so many things about this place including, but not limited to: proximity to downtown, parking, cleanliness, house was stocked with EVERYTHING we might need, including several coffee K -cups for our first morning (yay!), games, plenty of towels, etc.! It was very comfortable and had plenty of space. We also enjoyed sitting on the patio in the evenings. Well done!

House was very charming! It was great to be able to walk a short distance back and forth to town and not need to get into the car. For anyone bringing a dog, the house is the ideal place. Extra dog beds, toys and bowls are all provided for your pets. David and Sandra were also awesome giving updates about check-in and snow removal during our stay. Thanks for a great week!

Wow - This property exceeded all of our expectations! The property had everything we could possibly need, was beautifully decorated, super clean, and there was more than enough space for our party of six to play games, spread out, and enjoy our family weekend. We loved being within walking distance to downtown Galena and shopping 'til we dropped. Bonus is the off-street parking! The FiveTen Federal is exceptional. We'll be back!

It was perfect, better than any hotel could offer. We had a nice bedrooms, two bathrooms and a wonderful place to sit and enjoy time together.

This house is so fun! Beautifully decorated, lots of space and that amazing cave. The location is fantastic, you can walk right home after a fun day visiting all the shops & restaurants. The house was so wonderful, it made us look forward to coming home to play games and relax each evening. We only wish we had brought our pup with us as he would have loved it, too! Very dog friendly and nice extra touches. We highly recommended to anyone traveling to the Galena area. Absolutely wonderful hosts!
