Fred and Winnies in my opinion, is about as close to perfect as any b&b could be. I have looked online for a nice place to stay in Kampala and it is a serious lottery. I suffered disappointment after disappointment as properties didn't live up to the reviews or ratings. Most weren't even close. Some were worse than dreadful. Then, I looked at Fred and Winnie's. WOW! What an oasis this beautiful b&b is! The owner is simply wonderful. Winnie ensured my stay was fantastic. The room I stayed in (double deluxe) is beautifully designed and decorated. It provided everything I needed from a hot, or cold, shower to a table to sit at for having a tea or just relaxing while reading a book. The tasteful decor lends itself to total relaxation. The breakfast was simple but well stocked and thoroughly enjoyable. The area around the house is beautifully landscaped and maintained. The staff are excellent, friendly and communicative. If you want a perfect host, beautiful surroundings and a relaxing getaway, I recommend this b&b. I just can't imagine anyone being disappointed in any way. Thank you Winnie. The stay was perfect.

A lovely place, very clean with great amenities to self cater. A kitchen that is shared is well equipped and always clean. The rooms each have a small fridge which is handy. The owners and staff are friendly and helpful.

Big rooms, good large kitchen, nice bathroom with separation wall for a dry toilet, Lovely touches like chocolates and water on arrival, fan and good power sockets, large beds and big fluffy towels. All in all a very good place to stay, highly recommended.
The kitchen didn't have much crockery and cutlery, but this varied so might have been taken to other resident's rooms.
Previous upstairs rooms were spotless but the downstairs bathroom was not as sparkling, maybe because there is work outside which can blow dust through the window.

Very comfortable, large rooms, friendly staff, little details like soaps and lovely big towels, very good kitchen. Everything you could need in a stay. I liked it so much I have booked twice again. Nice ambience

if you want to live in a quiet area close to everything, then Fred & Winnie is your best alternative. the accommodation was nice, clean, nice staff, and security 24/7. Thanks Fred & Winnie and the whole gang for making me feel at home. We meet again😃😃😍😍😍

Clean, very attractive decor and surroundings, extremely friendly host.
Enjoyed so much we have booked two more visits on our journey.
No board to say which house it was, which meant we drive up and down looking for it, at the end of working day this was frustrating.

Only that it is advertised as a bed and breakfast but you have to pay extra for breakfast. It would be better if the breakfast charge were included in the rate.

Wonderful hosts, Fred and Winnie were very personable and sweet. They help arrange a great tour with Roland. Wonderful people, property and location. We loved how close it was to the Bahai House of Worship - which is absolutely gorgeous.

The facility looked secure - It is fenced and has a man with a machine gun at the gate
The host decided i wasn't allowed to enter the gate for some reason even after the app booke dme in successfully. What really was disturbing is that i drove one hour to get there. It is. not exactly in town. You have to drive out to get there.
