The host is brilliant and they are a lovely family. It s the perfect place to be just with your partner¡♡ Perffect location the forest is brilliant

Incredibly well thought out. Very cosy and comfy and stays warm during cold nights. It has power, hot water and plenty of power outlets.

The location is excellent and the hut is exceptional. A lovely forest walk is just behind and can be accessed through a secret garden style door. Kilkenny city is a short drive away and is well worth a visit.

Karima was very kind and helpful. The location was magical right next to the woods. I will definitely be back again.

I couldn't fault anything, everything was perfect

The host was fabulous. The property was hands down my favorite while traveling in Ireland.

Very pretty, walks around looked lovely, the only reason we didn’t avail of these was the poor weather.

Bed was unfortunately not very comfortable. It was quite difficult to get a taxi into town.

Myself, my husband and my dog stayed here for the night. It was so cosy, made even more so by the host putting the heating on for us especially just before our arrival. We were also checked on to make sure everything was ok despite the absolute lashing rain! Such a beautiful, quiet space. Went for a stunning walk in the adjacent forest too. What a slice of heaven. Will definitely be back!

Absolutely stunning location, super clean, Cosy shepherds hut, Christine is an amazing host. The perfect finish to amazing 2 weeks in Ireland. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a stunning location, peace and tranquillity

Here at Jenkinstown house, family are creating a sanctuary space for all to connect to the land, themselves and Mother Nature all around. The stay in the Huts brings us close to the gardens of Jenkinstown House, where the well collects beautifully crisp water for the nourishment of our bodies and all the plants and animals present here. The warmth within the huts is tremendous! With really comfortable beds. Being given a cosy warm place to stay in the midst of paradise for a really affordable price makes me really happy! Within the hut and welcome home of Caroline, Kadima, Joe and Luan flows a steady source for creative works. This is something I am truly thankful for. Seated at the pleasant table within the shepherds hut after having enjoyed a heartwarming meal prepared and shared graciously by Caroline, I found the most clear path to write and practice music. Whether working remotely from a device or carrying an instrument, the huts are a place to rest and unwind for sure. With sounds of nature all around to aid gentle instrumental work or peaceful typing/writing. Arrive to Jenkinstown house and feel the warmth of good care and love for our home here with Mother Earth.

The hut is in an awesome location. The hut is small but it has everything you need and is very comfy. Outside is a seating area with your own firepit, chair and tables. Very quiet and beautiful surroundings. It's also a quick walk to the forest with lots of trails. The owner, Caroline was terrific, warm and welcoming, making sure we had everything we needed. I give her ten stars for her hospitality! Thank you for such a memorable stay.

We did our own breakfast the facilities were there, we came prepared as we had a phone call with the lady before our stay telling us how to get there and what was in in the accommodation which was very helpful .we got avery warm welcome and we would certainly go back again. It’s in a lovely location and we were sorry we only had the one night.

If you are looking for a beautiful country location to stay then this is it. From the forestry walks to the outside area of your hut where you can sit back and enjoy a nice outside timber stove and nice seating area a lovely place to visit

Karima & Caroline our hosts were such lovely people and a pleasure to deal with. Very helpful and friendly, giving good tips on where to eat vegan food, so top hosts and thank you for your hospitality. We rented the three shepherds huts for the duration of our stay late August and they were all very clean, modern, comfortable with electricity and sockets to charge your gadgets. Nice ensuite bathroom - I note other comments regarding the shower but if you are careful and don't blast out hot water on full we managed decent showers up up to 5 mins, which is plenty of time. Great outdoor seating area to each hut with individual chimineas and a separate communal BBQ area. Next to Jenkinstown wood which has a lovely walk and also a deer sanctuary where you can hand feed the deer. Great location for exploring Kilkenny or further afield - we went to Wicklow mountains which is just over an hour away, plus lots of other places in Galway, Carlow, Tipperary & Waterford. We would definitely stay again as we did enjoy it very much.

The host was so welcoming and friendly and so accommodating and that was a stand out moment along with the amazing countryside which offered peace & tranquility and the walking trails around the property was another great reason to want to stay longer

absolutely beautiful setting long winding driveway to castle ,huts located up steps to lovely garden area , lovely fire pit seating area if weather was nice ,the shepherds huts feel spacious , they have everything you need , nice bathroom shower etc, lovely walk in the morning to the woods at the back of property , deer etc . overall 5star stay
