We could walk a short distance to the Acropolis, the Placa Shopping,Mars Hill and the museum. Never needed taxi for these. The owner was very kind

Seul petit bémol, la fenêtre donnait sur une coursive donc pas évident d'ouvrir les rideaux si l'on veut préserver un peu d'intimité.

The location of this property is exceptional. This property is in a heavily trafficked pedestrian-dominated tourist area of old town Athens right next to the Parthenon. This means that you can step out of your front door and find cafés, bars and restaurants within just a few seconds walk. However within that context, to location is quite quiet since most of the foot traffic is directed down adjacent streets. The room itself is well equipped and modern with a good quality bathroom and a comfortable bed. In addition, there is a shared terrace with a view out over the rooftops where you can enjoy wine in the evening or coffee in the morning. We were there on the Greek Orthodox Christmas and had the place pretty much to ourselves so we were able to quietly enjoy the ceremonial chanting from the adjacent chapel that echoed through the quiet lanes of the neighborhood in the early morning. A great memory.

The check in was a bit weird since there is no reception. You need to tell them when you're going to arrive and then you get checked in by the housekeeping staff - all a bit strange. The rooms, while nicely decorated and equipped seem to be some kind of renovated dormitory and as such have no windows that look directly out to the street or any kind of view. Instead, the window of the room looks out onto a wooden gangway where other guests walk past to get to their room. In practice this means you need to keep the light on when in the room, which in turn means you need to keep the curtains closed for privacy. For us this was not a huge issue since we were there in winter when I think we were the only guests. However, if we'd been there in high season, I think there would have been a noise issue with other guests coming and going since the walkway outside the room was noisy and echoey when walked on and the room windows were original and as such did not close or seal well.

Couldn't have asked for a better location! Right under the Acropolis, in beautiful old town area. Lovely building.

Not great noise protection from the window - could hear people clearly talking outside which I assume means they could hear us in the bedroom. However this is only thing at all negative. Otherwise it was a wonderful stay!

Great room in a great location!

Location was very walkable and the bed was very comfortable.

You could hear everyone just outside of the door walking up and down the hallways and down the stairs.

Fantastic location in the Plaka neighborhood, everything was walkable…Acropolis, Agora, Areopagus. Fantastic restaurants, personal favorite is Alfani (middle of the steps). Monastiraki and shopping is easy walk.

Our room was right in the front, so we did get some evening street noise.

The renovation is lovely and the location is great! The property provided pictures are exact to the accommodations!

It was extremely close to the Acropolis and very easy to walk through Plaka and to the Acropolis. Staff were lovely and accommodating!

It is directly across the road from a church which is beautiful but did wake us up in the morning with the Saturday morning service.

Quiet, great facilities, great staff.

This is not a traditional hotel - there is no lobby or onsite staff. However, it’s a quaint, renovated location on the upper edge of Athen’s Plaka district. The rooms are nicely appointed and the location is within metres of restaurants & shops. It’s walking distance from the Acropoli and Syntagma Metro stations. It’s a bit of an uphill climb.

Perhaps it shouldn’t be promoted as a hotel.

The staff was incredible. The hotel is in a very good location, you can reach everywhere by walking, it is also very close to the metro. My favorite part of the room was the beds. I have never slept in such comfortable beds in my entire life. Thank you for everything.

Things that broke down need to be screened and fixed or replaced. If all works well rating would even be better.

Very good location and good rom wich has been edit to modern rom, we did love it and recorded to others! The cleaning Lady was very kind and helpful. Good place!

Staying here was one of our favorite locations on our trip around Greece. The host welcomed us as we arrived to check us in, show us the room and amenities, and provide excellent recommendations around town. At this location, you are walking distance from the entrance to the Acropolis and to the streets of Plaka but the street was still quiet through the day and night. Splurge (a little) for the room with a balcony and view, you won't regret the sunset and sunrise views over Athens!
