Stuff is really nice, kind and helpful. Got immediately a tea when I checked in and all the informations I wanted to know.

The location is on a too steep slope... staff must inform the guests about this because not all personal vehicles can climb thay steep slope. Very difficult and prone to accidents

First of all, the staff is very friendly and helpful, they are always to help you as much as possible. Breakfast is awesome and the portions were even too much for us. Rooms are clean and spacious and everything is really affordable. I highly recommend this stay!

The hostel is situated at an elevated location, and far from convenience stores. bit difficult to get on foot. but tuktuk are available via PickMe/Uber. could use some cleanings to remove spiderwebs off the beds.

Owner is so friendly, He will help you with anything you need. All the staff there are amazing. Its a clean place and you feel at home. If I have the chance to visit Kandy again, Sure i will come back to this hostel. And the food there is so delicious.

The downstairs area is excellent - welcoming & friendly. Clean bathroom & toilet facilities. breakfast food was great & generous serves.

The bedroom was filthy. Disgustingly dirty: saw a cockroach run across the floor as I walked in, pillows smelt of people, fingerprints all over the mirror, the toilet was unclean, shower filthy with no shampoo/soap etc, floor was gritty & the worst part was that the roof was full of black mould. I understand the humidity would have an impact on this, however I believe cleaning it & spraying it would do it justice. The fan was super loud, so couldn’t use it- the AC didn’t work, the bed sheets had marks all over them. I wonder if they were cleaned at all after the last person slept in it. mattress had a big burn-mark in it. plus- the foyer was very loud & echo-ey. I wonder if other rooms were as bad, or if I coped it badly.

I mostly stayed in dorm rooms, but I decided to take a private room to take a good rest. The room was overall dirty. Many hairs in the shower, in the sheets, on the pillow and on the bed. Shower was broken and the bathroom was just dirty. I told this to the staff and I wanted my money back and leave as I just arrived. However he suggested that I moved rooms. The other room was with less hairs, however there were still human hairs in the bed. And also this bathroom was not clean.

Solo female traveler's feedback: The staff and owner of this hostel really make the place. I thoroughly appreciated the owner taking the time to give me very useful information regarding my stay in Kandy and even for the rest of my trip in Sri Lanka. He was even able to give me his honest feedback when I was given a price for a trip or an activity within the city. He is a kind, caring person with a lively personality, that will make you smile and feel at ease. The staff is also very diligent and always ready to make you feel confortable. Real hard workers, I have a lot of respect for them. They also serve big, yummy breakfast and good food throughout the day. The hostel is a nice building, close to city center (it's a 3 minutes tuk-tuk ride) but outside of the hustle and bustle. Quiet place, beautiful view. Bathrooms is alright, room was spacious. Definitely recommend this place with pleasure!

The wooden beds are a bit dusty, but I did not feel like the place was dirty per say, overall.

the accomodation is up to the hill but it is Věry friendly place. this place is very good for backpackers. And the breakfest was fantastic!

staff is amazing

The staff was extremely kind and helpful, they really care about you having a good stay! The place is located in the hills above and outside the inner city which is a good thing because Kandy can be noisy and smelly. The food prepared in their kitchen was good.

It could be cleaner. I stayed in the dorm room and the floor wasn't clean (dust/sand), the stairs leading up to the room also haven't been cleaned in a while. Bathroom was clean, but the tea sometimes had insects in it and a bottle of water which I got from the kitchen was full of insects too. Bottom line: in general hygiene could be better (but it wasn't off-putting either).

I like the place it located its bit adventure. And very calm and quiet place. Staff are very friendly and they anticipated my needs and accommodated my request. Hope to return again Manger is very helpful 🙂 and nice gentleman.

at bit far out of town and you have to walk up a very steep hill. Also when I was there I was the only one in the dorm room

At the top of a steep hill, so be prepared to trek.

The place is far from the busy part of the city. I had to check out really early to catch the train, but the host managed to make me an amazing breakfast anyway.

Hight of the area, exhausted to clime there. Not even every tuk tuk can make it :)
